Even after reinstalling Windows 10 my mbr is still messed up.

I can boot it from the bios but that makes this device 10 times more irritating.   Can anyone explain how to clear the mbr efi so It will boot without going into the bios?

    Please Advise

    Thanks

Ok, wasted another 2 weeks of my life on this device.  Installed the latest Lubuntu and Linuxium for this device linked in this forum.  No wifi, no touchpad – nope, notta, no go.

Now I cannot boot directly but have to go into bios to boot.  ???

Again, I admit I don’t know enough to get this working but I can get these linux systems to install.   They run fine except not wifi or touchpad.  As always as before I can plug in external mouse and wifi.

Going to reinstall windows 10 (which I hate).   I noticed above there is a tagged link to:  windows ELAN touchpad driver intallation……

But the link takes you to a blank page.  No downloads for that driver.

My Question is, will that driver (if it ever shows up) work on the Ezbook Jumper 2?  If so where can I get it?

    Please Advise and Thanks.

    Okay, I admit, I don’t know what I’m doing.

I installed Lubuntu from the link above.  It won’t install grub and abandon ship.  Says it will not boot.

So, I went and got the latest Ubuntu 17.10 test 64 bit test build.  Did an erase and intalled directly to the hard drive.  It boots and runs just fine but no touchpad, no wifi, etc. — just like before.  Now I wished I didn’t wipe Windows because I had everything working.

Any advise would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Mine’s been sitting around now 6-8 months.   I never really used it because I hate Windows 10 and the touchpad is unbearable/unuseable.  I am happy to hear this thing can finally run linux correctly (almost).

I would love this computer with linux on it.    I always hated having to plug in external mouse and wifi.  I want to just be able to take this thing, use it and go.

    This is wonderful news.
