Hi,
Can someone check whether the file /sys/firmware/efi/efivars/nvram-74b00bd9-805a-4d61-b51f-43268123d113 is available?
An alternate is to get it from the the win partition at \windows\system32\drivers\4345r6nvram.txt.
This is a required file to get the wifi working.
I’ve overwritten my win10 partition – so I don’t have access to this file. Perhaps someone can help by sharing it?
Thanks

I only have “43430r0nvram.txt” and “43430r1nvram.txt”, along with bin files with the same name. Here they are.

I checked, there is no such file in /sys/firmware/efi/efivars/ on Lubuntu, sorry.
September 3, 2017 at 2:30 pm #71446Ok, wasted another 2 weeks of my life on this device. Installed the latest Lubuntu and Linuxium for this device linked in this forum. No wifi, no touchpad – nope, notta, no go.
Now I cannot boot directly but have to go into bios to boot. ???
Again, I admit I don’t know enough to get this working but I can get these linux systems to install. They run fine except not wifi or touchpad. As always as before I can plug in external mouse and wifi.
Going to reinstall windows 10 (which I hate). I noticed above there is a tagged link to: windows ELAN touchpad driver intallation……
But the link takes you to a blank page. No downloads for that driver.
My Question is, will that driver (if it ever shows up) work on the Ezbook Jumper 2? If so where can I get it?
Please Advise and Thanks.
September 4, 2017 at 2:52 am #71465Even after reinstalling Windows 10 my mbr is still messed up.
I can boot it from the bios but that makes this device 10 times more irritating. Can anyone explain how to clear the mbr efi so It will boot without going into the bios?
Please Advise
Thanks

Best regards
RicardoSeptember 8, 2017 at 12:08 am #71753Hello guys i don’t own a ezbook 2, instead what i have is the Chuwi LapBook 15 which is pretty similar to the ezbook, i tried a bunch of version o ubuntu and linux mint, some of them i got bluetooh working and wifi but they freeze after some time, or no freeze but got nothing working good enough, i tried respinning the ISOs but got no good result.
So i tried the new ubuntu, the one who ditched unity in favor of gnome(17.10 Artful which still in beta by the way), no respin or anything just a clean iso from the ubuntus website, and almost everything works fine.
- Wifi works out of the box, sometimes i get really low speeds or disconnects for no apparent reason but overrall is ok
- Touchpad is pretty good all the commands seem to work, 2 fingers scroll, zoom in and out, 3 fingers tab change, but it sometimes gets confused and zoom in instead of scrolling down
- Baterry indicator works good, without charging it has no problem, but when i plug the cable it says its fully charged
- Bluetooh does not work, but i did not try to fix since is not a big deal for me
- No sound, which is the one that bothers me the most :(, Also i play a youtube or netflix video it looks like its 1.5 or 2x the actual speed for some reason
I am going to try to plug a bluetooh usb adapter and some bluetooh headphone and see if i can get sound, i will post back if i get any success.
One last thing, this is my sudo inxi -xxAv6AA to compare with you guys

That’s great news! So Ubuntu is finally updating to officially support our devices. Maybe sound will work with the stable release.
As for bluetooth, you could try to start the driver manually with
sudo systemctl start rtl8723bsbt.service
or
sudo systemctl start brcmbt.service
I don’t know if your laptop has the same bluetooth hardware but maybe it will work 🙂September 10, 2017 at 5:00 pm #71896New release from Linuxium. Helpful? –> http://linuxiumcomau.blogspot.com.br/2017/09/artful-aardvark-beta-1-and-mainline.html

<h3 class=”post-title entry-title”>Artful Aardvark Beta 1 and Mainline Kernel v4.13 Released</h3>The first beta ISOs of Artful Aardvark (17.10) have now been released and so has the v4.13 mainline kernel so I’ve decided to combine both by taking Lubuntu Beta 1 and updating with the rolling ‘unstable’ kernel of v4.13.0-9 and produces ISOs for both Atom-based and Apollo-based mini PCs.September 10, 2017 at 6:14 pm #71897New release from Linuxium. Nope, still no trackpad for me…
September 12, 2017 at 12:04 am #71978I tried to use blueetooth headphone and manage to make pair with the device but did not get any audio of it : (, also i tried the new 4.13 kernel but nothing has changed to me either
September 12, 2017 at 9:16 am #71988September 13, 2017 at 7:23 pm #72082This is fantastic, everything works except for sound and when that is cracked this will be perfect.
Even running from a slow USB drive this is already sooooooo much better than Windows 10.
Thank you, I was this > < close to sticking my EZbook 2 on eBay, but now it’s all I want to use!
September 14, 2017 at 6:43 am #72111Hmmmm. Tried again this morning and realised that the micro SD card reader wasn’t working either. With limited space on the 64gb ssd that’s close to a deal breaker.
But the reason I tried it again this morning was to test a USB sound card. I picked this up for about £3 from Amazon and have been using it with a Raspberry Pi Zero. I got sound (through headphones) when adjusting the volume levels, but YouTube wouldn’t play. I then tried the video and audio files in the free culture showcase included with Ubuntu and couldn’t get sound from either of those.
Could be down to my slow USB drive, or just because Ubuntu isn’t installed (and therefore drivers for the USB soundcard aren’t properly installed) but potentially this could work for some people? Ditto using a USB drive to make up for the lack of micro SD card support. Although having even a small USB hub (not to mention headphones or speakers) dangling off the side of the laptop would cut down portability a fair bit.
Looking back at the first post there has been a lot of progress, but that was well over a year ago. Not sure I want to wait another year to iron out these last issues (assuming they ever can be) so I’m back to contemplating selling and buying something with better Linux support.
September 14, 2017 at 9:06 pm #72139Still no trackpad for me… Will it ever work? I guess I got a bad batch of motherboards… =(
