Yes, the resolution is too high for the GPU. Setting a custom resolution sounds like a good option, especially for games. If you have root, you can also try GLTools to decrease the resolution per-game, though it doesn’t works with all games.
There are different batches? What are the differences between the two? I thought the fully laminated OGS screen was a feature of the tablet, but apparently, that is only the case for the 2nd batch?..
