well you new battery has 6600 mAh at max charge that makes around 55 Wh
your jumper shows 48 Wh
so that should be around 12% more
I wonder if the charging board has the capacity hard coded and if you would bypass the original charging board (connect directly to the multiple red and black wires) the capacity from the new battery build in charging board would report the correct values.Oh and if you new to soldering, it is always a good idea to practice on some old cables first.
the trick is to get both connecting parts equal hot to get a good connection , than remove the heat and hold the connection (cable) sturdy for a few seconds until the liquid gets hard.Need Help?
1981 soldered my first Sinclair computer 1K, tapedeck * 1984 build and sold IBM clones 8Mhz, 512K, 20MB HDD * 2018 messing with ultrabooksAugust 26, 2018 at 8:10 pm #145834Mine also only shows 48 mWh max even though the new batteries I installed should be more than that. I’ve also noticed that the green light will come on but after I boot up it says the battery isn’t full. If I unplug it and plug it back in the light turns red again and it charges the rest of the way. Strange but I can definitely live with it since I don’t have to be plugged in all the time anymore. I’m on my second battery cycle now. After the third I’ll post what I’m getting for average lifespan.
August 27, 2018 at 8:45 am #145841Ok, replaced my batteries last night, so far so good. Had a couple of issues with one of the wires detaching from the battery controller board contact, possibly my poor soldering skills/old solder/crappy soldering iron. But fixed it and finally got a good join. BatteryBar readings still appear to be off (does it need reset/calibrated?), it shows the right %, but time remaining shows 1:29. The built in battery info shows 10hr 59min remaining at 87% I’ve attached a few photos in case they’re of interest/use to anyone.
Thanks to you guys for posting your photos/info which was a big help.

Did your BatteryBar stats reset themselves ok? I replaced my batteries and everything is working fine (switching off and on ok, no unusual drain or switching off, etc), still on the first charge since replacing. But the elapsed time in Batterybar seems to reset each time i switch on, as it seems to take it from 81% (or whatever the level is when switched on again).
As i say, in general everything seems to be working ok, just battery bar that seems to be not picking up the right values. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it, but that didnt seem to fix it.
August 29, 2018 at 11:57 am #145897Hello all!
Couple of days ago i received my Jumper Ezbook 3 pro, but unfortunatelly didn’t know that it had this issue with its battery…
So i did noticed after 3 complete discharges/charges that the battery drains so fast, like in 20-30mins was at 60%! With normal use, no games etc.
I opened the backlid to check if the battery was connected and it wasn’t entirelly….i put it back and fixed it, but the problem remained the same! It charges at almost 3-3:30 hours and discharges completely almost at 3-4. Isn’t this supposed to hold around 8-9 hours of normal use? The battery is 4500mAh 32.4Wh….
I’ve also contact gearbest and told them the problem and they want a proof/video/picture etc.
What are my options here? Refund and buy battery like this one? https://es.aliexpress.com/item/L552-3-7V-6000mAH-4212078-PLIB-Polymer-lithium-ion-Li-ion-battery-LG-cell-for/32531318879.html?shortkey=b6JBfMny&addresstype=600
Edit: Wow… battery last night was at 43% before i shut it down, and right now when i opened it is at 16%.
August 29, 2018 at 1:58 pm #145903My battery while pc off discharges around 3/4% that’s for a period of 10 hours. Definitely get a refund if you can and order 2 new batteries. I got my ezbook from geekbuying and could not get anything back from them apart from sending it to China for repair which I didn’t.

I ordered those and fitted them at the weekend. Running great so far, still at 52% from the 1st charge and ive used an hour or two every other night (showing 6hr 18min remaining). And also just had the Win10 April update force install. I had set my wifi connection to metered to try to prevent any OS updates (as everything was running fine), but all seems good so far. So you can try and get a refund but they will ask you to post the laptop back to them, so just push for a partial refund, i got $30 from Geekbuying and bought 2x batteries from aliexpress which totalled about £17 including shipping.

I’ve ordered this one https://es.aliexpress.com/item/V046-3-8V-3-7V-6600mAh-4412180-PLIB-Polymer-lithium-ion-Li-ion-battery-for/32376733840.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.4da663c0KfluUz which are the same but with 3.8V instead of 3.7V
August 30, 2018 at 11:44 am #145959I’ve provided them a video with the problem, and they’re telling me that is invalid…They asking pictures also…
Is there any difference between the 3.7v and 3.8v? Which is the right to choose?
I’m attaching a pic of the battery inside.

I bought the 3.7V one, even though I still don’t have my Ezbook 3 pro with me (It’s coming late september), just to be safe.
Was wondering the same thing. Is there any difference between 3.7V and 3.8V? Would be nice to hear from Euplio about how his Ezbook 3 pro is doing with the new batteries.

Yes: 3.7 and 3.8V is the same. My ezbook is really great now. Battery life is really awesome after mounting new batteries, no problem so far
