Nvm. I tired but says updated even tho its not on that version. We need a way. If anyone can share a offline version so we can update it i be happy.

if you see the source they have bios update for a5c8 too ! but maybe we need to be on version 3.03 to update to 3.04 from internet ! i sent message to administrator there and i hope they sent me the offline installer

I don’t think we need to be. I’ve updated the bios on tablet to the latest in these prior months.

    SD issue? 🙂

Actually no issues on SD card like others have. I guess it’s the type of cards you use.

Chinese users ( Teclast X80 Plus) in bbs.teclast.com have updated successfully to the 3.04 BIOS but still can´t read micro sd 64GB in Windows 10.

I think that the micro SD problem has no solution.

How come they get to update and we don’t is the question. Anyone tired a Chinese vpn to see if that makes a difference.

Chinese people cannot update neither. it’s not a connection or network problem. The firmware update has not been uploaded yet.

No MicroSD card issue with my 64GB Samsung Evo card. Has to be the brand of microsd card, so it seems it doesn’t like. Not good of course it should read all brands.

Thing is for one Chinese people and to whomever successfully got it should upload it. It should download the files to windows somewhere in windows. Before you shut down windows to complete the process all you gotta do is copy files where it downloaded and then upload it.

If I understand correctly the half-backed google translation, Bios 3.04 is applied as a driver update and only possible if you have previously bios 3.03.

And it looks like Bios 3.03 for A5C8 (should be flashed the old way) is there to be download from Baidu:

    April 12 update
X98 Plus(A5C8)的先用【X98 Plus(A5C8)_解决WIN系统识别TF卡问题】BIOS修复,问题依旧再回帖反应(仅限A5C8其它型号勿用) X98 Plus (A5C8) first with [X98 Plus (A5C8) _ solve WIN system identification TF card issue] BIOS fix the problem persists then Replies reaction (A5C8 other models do not use only). 补丁地址: http://pan.baidu.com/s/1jHocCN8

Problems is that you have to be registered at Baidu to download and I thing that is to much to be done just with Google translate….

If some kind chinesse speaker manage to upload this bios here, maybe we will be able to flash it and get ready to apply the firmware update procedure.

    Just my assumption…

    Your assumption is wrong.

This link is for the “old” V3 version. There is not link for downloading any BIOS newer than the V3. No one, either Chinese owners, had been able to download or upgrade the x98 BIOS. Only the x80 users had been able to do it, and their comments are not good about the SD card fix problem…

I’m guessing that there is not solution for this problem. I guess is an uncontrollable corruption on the NVRAM, and they have not solution or they are not able to fix it…

If you look at the thread “reading SDXC card” on this forum, stated by Samuel Hart, there is a translation available by a Chinese speaking participant,

Yi-Ping Huang and much more discussion regarding the bios updates and their lack of success. The baidu download is available without being logged in but only the individual files, one at a time, not the whole directory at once, but it solves nothing and still shows up as version 3.0 not 3.03

Let me download that for you. Please find the attachment.

I don’t have a Baidu account either. One needs a legit Chinese cellphone number to register Baidu.

    However, JDownloader did the job.

Thanks you very much Yi-Ping Huang and also to CpA and Neil for your clarifications.

If that bios is not 3.03 but 3.00, my assumption was totally wrong and we will need to keep waiting…

Sorry I bother you for nothing.
