there is also at “downloads” section in this forum.
February 8, 2017 at 10:16 am #61839Im considering buying this or i10 ultimate since they have simmilar price. I10 seems a smarter choice with optional stylus, brighter screen and overall community support, but that full size USB 3.0 tho …
Any thoughts from owners ?
February 9, 2017 at 4:27 am #61908The overall quality is good. I bought iwork1X because of the USB3.0 port. Overall, I am happy with the tablet except the Android section does not included any google services, and unable to change language pack in Win 10. I bought this in China, so these problems might only related to the machine sold in China.
February 10, 2017 at 9:37 am #61971After weeks of searching, finally found a TWRP recovery for iwork1x in a Russian forum, and installed google services successfully. They also provided a way to root this tablet too. let me share the link later.

February 10, 2017 at 2:24 pm #61981here is the links for the post in 4pda:
https://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=794329
the link of the TWRP recovery is here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1TVevKfX5NedzJvd1U5c0Y5YXM/view
To flash TWRP into the iwork1X:
- unzip the zip file
- download and install the Intel android driver: you could google for “IntelAndroidDrvSetup1.10”
- go to your iwork1X; go to “developers”, and turn on”USB debugging” and “OEM unlock”
- connect your iwork1X to your computer, and wait for the computer to connect your iwork1x
- do to command terminal, and go to the TWRP folder that you unzipped, and type “adb_cmd”
- then type the following: ADB reboot bootloader
- and then: fastboot flash boot booti30.img
- and then: fastboot flash recovery recoveryi30.img
- and then: fastboot reboot
- if everything goes well, you should able to go to TWRP recovery.
to root:
method I:
- download supersu zip file that you find in here:
http://www.supersu.com/download and store it in your iwork1x
2. install virtual terminal in android. and then open the virtual terminal, type in: reboot recovery.
and it should boot into the TWRP recovery.
3) in TWRP recoery, go to “install”
4) select the supersu file that you previously downloaded, and super su will be install
5) reboot to system.
if everything goes well, your android portion should be rooted, at least it works for me. However, if anything went wrong, I am not responsible for your lost.
February 10, 2017 at 5:45 pm #61986Hi 1X owners,
Can you please run a quick test – how’s Flash performance in full-screen mode? Take any stream from http://goatdee.net/ – are they choppy full-screen?
Cheers!

Has somebody re-installed with dual boot? the chinese instructions are impossible to follow.
April 3, 2017 at 7:29 pm #64548The tablet has the ambient light sensor, so the brightness of the display can be adjusted automatically? It work also in windows?
The sensor seem to be present, but not working. I not find the sensor regulation. Thanks

I am unable to install google services into my iwork1x. Anybody have any advice?
May 2, 2017 at 8:26 am #66363Hey everyone. Is there a link anywhere yet to dual boot files with an english version of Windows? It originally came shipped to me in english, but after a corrupted Windows 10, I had to flash everything with the files in the download section. Like others seem to be experiencing, changing the language to english only changes some windows components to english. Most is still in chinese.
I received my iWork 1x a few days ago, and have experienced nothing but problems., both software and hardware. Just wondering if others are experiencing the same problems as me, or if I just have a defective product (I had to flash the firmware, so not sure if I’ve already voided the warranty).
The main problems I have are:
- when restarting/shutting down the tablet, sometimes (50% or so) I hear a click click click kind of sound that lasts for about 5 seconds.
- Another problem is the screen flickering when it’s booting up. The chinese text/graphic breaks up and the screen flickers. Nowhere else does this happen in Android or Windows, yet.
- When I try to shut down the tablet in Android, it doesn’t always shut down. Sometimes it just reboots on it’s own. It happens sometimes when on battery power or plugged in. And sometimes when it does reboot, it doesn’t fully reboot back into Android. It just goes to a black screen, but it’s still on. Sometimes it goes to the battery charging icon, then black screen. This could be an incorrect flash or something, and not hardware related.
- Sometimes the tablet just automatically boots up when I plug in to charge. This could be related to the problem above.
I’ve troubleshooted many desktops/laptops in my years, but this tablet is probably the most frustrating device I’ve ever worked with. Mainly because of the inconsistency of the problems. Having Windows 10 get corrupted and completely unrecoverable on me probably was probably a big warning sign…
EDIT: Oh yeah, and the camera doesn’t work in Android or Windows. May be a software thing. Shuts down in Android all the time. Windows looks like it recognizes it, but all programs say there isn’t one available.

Hi,
I would ask for a replacement of the tablet. I have been using mine for two months, and zero problems so far.
cheers
May 2, 2017 at 5:35 pm #66375I agree for the replacement, but it would be nice if we had dual boot files in English!
May 16, 2017 at 10:31 am #67029Great, looks like I bricked my iWork1x with this BIOS update.
I had problems with slow charging, and actually, the device couldn’t charge at all while it was powered on; I noticed that BIOS in the download section here had a newer date than the version I was using.
So I made a BIOS backup and flashed the one from here, thinking I had nothing to lose. I do have a dualboot version, but I figure if the BIOS was incompatible, it would say so and refuse to flash – just like, say, EVERYTHING ELSE THAT HAS A BIOS. But after I shutdown, all I got was the charge LED flashing for about 30 seconds, and now the device has no sign of life at all.
So what can I do, request a warranty replacement from GearBestI guess, hoping they’ll cover it despite the dents on the edges?
I know the device is cheap and budget, but what kind of hardware will let you flash a BIOS from a device that doesn’t suit!?!? Either that or Cube have stuffed up and incorrectly marked two incompatible models as the same (as far as BIOS/UEFI is concerned)…
Not happy ?
So, if you have a dualboot iWork 1x, AVOID THE BIOS UPDATE HERE.
EDIT: I’ve asked GearBest if they can replace it under warranty, also mentioning to them that I have opened the device (it’s obvious, so I’d rather them tell me now if they’ll still honour warranty or not) and if they don’t support it then I will order an EEPROM flasher and clip. I’m not sure my backup is good enough though, I noticed just now that it’s only 4MB whereas the new one was 8MB…
June 7, 2017 at 2:29 am #67873Hi All –
Just ordered one of these (I plan on using it for photo viewing/uploading while traveling, with maybe a bit of light editing. I don’t expect Lightroom to run well, but maybe Raw Therapee?), and I have one question that isn’t answered in the review: is the MicroSD card reader a USB2-speed model like most of these tablets seem to have? I don’t want to bother buying a fast card if so.
Thanks!
