Hello, I should post an update to my original post. I EVENTUALLY got a full refund back from gearbest + postage but it was a serious struggle that went on for about 8 weeks. That’s another story. I ordered another mini usb 3.0 through ebay but I got a ctype in the post. It only lasted 1 week before the same issue. Since I have made a living fixing mobile devices (and hence know a bit about them) I risked opening mine up and found a latent defect in the way the screen cable is designed and taped down. I have posted another thread about my rep a good charge air on this site. So reset and good charge isn’t going to cut that one. Point is, the device is under warranty and I shouldn’t have to open it up and risk warranty because of an assembly defect. That said, the tablet seems to now be running well and as expected for the money.
