February 22, 2017 at 2:32 pm #62591How’s it the EZpad 5SE + Keyboard + Touch Stylus for 184.99$ at Geekbuying?
February 23, 2017 at 4:24 am #62608Save your money and get yourself a Microsoft Surface or a Asus Transformer mini T102HA.
February 25, 2017 at 9:22 pm #62701Is that like an order- just buy the mentioned items with no reasons why it should be done?
February 26, 2017 at 2:04 am #62706Alan,
It’s a suggestion. In my opinion the Jumper EZpad 5SE isn’t worth it. The two models I suggested are way better than this device. You might have your own opinion but I am pretty sure many would agree with me if they tried those two compared to the Jumper.February 26, 2017 at 3:22 am #62709OK, thanks. But still no specifics to help understand why.
February 28, 2017 at 3:02 am #62815It’s slow as mollassess, the stylus function is horrible, and battery life is horrible.
March 1, 2017 at 3:49 am #62852Okay, now that is a bit unfair here.
The 2GB ram Surface 3 with no accessory cost 399$, twice as much as the Ezpad with pen and keyboard included. The T102HA is no doubt a better deal with 4Gig ram, keyboard and pen included, but it still also cost 399$, enough to buy 2 Ezpad.
The pen function is also not horrible at all, it’s the included stock pen that is to be blamed. Buy a 10$ Samsung s-pen off ebay and drawing on the Ezpad will be as good as on a Samsung note. It’s the same Wacom tech that power the note phone, hundred times better than the Chinese homebrew stylus tech in the Chuwi Hi 12.
The kickstand is nice, and the typecover is convenient to both protect the tablet and type in a pinch.
This thing is slow, yes. But it’s good enough to power my art program through drawing 4k comission works with few stutter and have edge open for reference at the same time. The good drawing exprience far outweight a few second waiting for program to open IMO.
Battery life is a concern, but it meet my realistic expectation of 4 hour of drawing. My biggest gripe is charging time, but the DC 5v3A charger fixed that (3 hours to fully charge, and can charge while drawing )
The biggest advantage is cost vs good stylus function. For around $400, there is plenty of option with good stylus such as the Asus T102HA or Surface. Heck, I would buy the Cube Mix Plus, much better performance, higher resolution for same price. Also not everyone here live in the US, and importing cost to buy from the US would inflat the price even more.
Looking for 10 incher with stylus for sub-200$? Ezpad with Wacom or the Cube iwork 10 with Chinese homebrew tech ? I would pick the Ezpad anyday.
Considering most people looking at this device is in for the stylus and lower cost, if you are willing to compromise what I mentioned above then it would serve you well. If you have high expectation, prepare to pay twice the amount for better performance.
I look forward to the result of Nicolas’s battery hack 🙂
March 10, 2017 at 12:53 pm #63216Hi guys, I need charger for this tablet – which should I buy ? I know it is 5V 3A but what connector. Can you give me link which charger you bought ?
Thanks.
March 10, 2017 at 11:10 pm #63236okay, guys I found a solution to the missing charger problem – I bought MicroUSB charger 5V 3A and it works like charm, tablet charges even when it is on 🙂
March 11, 2017 at 2:44 pm #63258Thanks.
I’m looking for a decent charger for my 5SE. I’d read in some threads that it’s supposed to charge faster from the round power input (2.5mm x 0.7mm) but not totally convinced that Jumper would add extra components and cost to a cheap tablet- it’s probably just the higher current available. The advantage may just be an extra available USB port when charging.
How much faster is the charging, how long does it take?
March 11, 2017 at 5:32 pm #63268Hi Alan, well I also tried to find that DC adapter but thats much harder then to find this microusb 3Amp charger (for EU market I only found DC 3Amp on aliexpress so I didnt want to wait one month again). Tablet charges pretty good, when its ON I can say it can charge 20 percent in 30 minutes.
Here is the adapter I bought. http://datacomp.sk/qoltec-ac-adapter-15w-5v-3a-microusb-vhodny-pre-raspberry-pi-_d310126.html
Its in Slovak, but you can find similar based on the picture 🙂

Stefan, Many thanks!
I was wondering if the USB and round pin socket are electrically the same, or if there was an advantage for one over the other.
Anyhow you can connect to the round socket but it takes two adapters so is slightly untidy. A USB to round pin cable (1m long) and a USB F-F adapter at under £2, probably less on aliexpress. It would reduce any wear on the USB socket, and could be used if you need to connect to the USB socket while charging or if that USB socket gets damaged. Maybe even charge a bit faster?
