I was about purchase Chuwi Hi10 with full usb ports but it was not having kickstand or back case with kickstand so that I can use wireless keyboard (wireless can enter bios but not Bluetooth). Unfortunately I have purchased Jumper Ezpad 5SE even after knowing the -ve reviews due to battery drain, thinking jumper might have solved it ( by june2017).
Still it had 3 deficiencies from battery side .
1) High battery drain of 4 to 5% per day in full shutdown condition (this keeps it warm also).
2) Very High battery drain of 90 to 95% per day in sleep mode (even under fast mode of windows in disabled condition, in fact it should be less than 7.5% per day)
3) 3 to 3.5 hours of battery life while browsing may be considered as very poor with such large size battery of 6600mAh, which is higher in capacity than any surface pro.
I have tried many driver updates but so far no effective solution is found. This may be due to inefficient drivers or high power consuming components or windows is unable to stop power supply to unused components like EMR digitiser screen for wacom pen due to poor drivers…
Under above conditions it is impractical to use it sparingly as it will be always discharged condition.
However for the above 1st problem, I have found a solution. We have to enter into UEFI bios by pressing ESC key while powering up before splash screen displays. Go to utility setup>power>advanced cpu control>boot performance mode> select Max Battery , and
utility setup>power>MRD FLD03 power management> select enable
(But don’t change any unknown or not yet proven parameter as cheap tablets may not be thoroughly designed and checked by manufacturer to avoid any bricking)
Now “screen saver operations” can be installed and configured to auto shutdown on idle and by keeping sleep time higher at windows power settings.
At last returned the product and refunded, thanks to PayPal
September 4, 2017 at 8:30 pm #71506I was planning to buy a jumper ezpad 5se and reading opinions in this thread perhaps it is not a good deal. What about ezpad users, are you still using it? It is really so slowly? Have a wacom digitizer for about 75€ I think is a good price (+ 20€ for keyboard). what do you think? Thanks in advance. Regards
September 6, 2017 at 10:30 pm #71683slowly? It depends entirely on what you will be doing with the pad and what applications and games you will run. There are faster pads if you need it, and slower pads that may be fast enough for your use. No one can give an answer to whether it will meet your needs without more information. Have you looked at the online reviews like xiaomitoday etc? Or processor info like here or processor comparisons here. But despite all reviews and comparisons the only thing that matters is what you do with the pad, is it capable of meeting your needs?
