    SB 3.0 OTG adapter

So it is true that Chuwi has fixed this with a hardware revision. I heard it was fixed from QKQI (Aliexpress seller). Others also have better performance in Windows 10 than in my review, so good to know it’s at least fixed. Shame my first batch model has that issue as it’s a must for me a tablet than can power HDD’s.

I’ve tried that Type-C adapter, it does work at all, nothing. It’s suited to 18volts for the Macbook air I think.

I meant to say that I don’t think my ‘updated’ Hibook’s screen is OGS despite the image saying so – there is a definite large gap between the screen and the glass and it’s nothing like my iPhone. I’m a little disappointed but the screen is still bright and clear nevertheless. For the touch issue: I can type rapidly without problems (I suspect yours may be some lag, especially if you’re referring to the Hibook pro), but I do experience similar things on Chrome as you do. For me though, I think it’s a Chrome thing though, since I’ve not experienced anything as such on Edge and have always used Edge as a result. I believe Chris has spoken before on how Edge is far more optimised on atom tablets (and generally better for touch imo). Yep, ezbuy was formerly 65daigou. You can find deals like this all the time on Taobao actually, the Tbook 10 went on sale for 1079 yuan with the keyboard two hours on 聚划算 too. I’ll have the adapter by Friday latest and review it for y’all, including the tablet itself too. If any of you have anything specific you’d like me to test, do let me know too

I also suspect that too, but after manually setting the resolution to 1920×1200, the problems still exists, some touch when typing is not registered, even when a bit slow typing or backspace some words. Most likely it is hardware problem in my case. A bit lazy to return it since other things are quite perfect, and I’ve read on Chuwi forums that theirs service is taking too much time.

I’ve tried Microsoft Edge, it is so much better than Chrome. However, there are no adblocking solutions available on Edge right now, and I really love my uBlock Origin to be there. Edge is much faster, more optimized for touch devices, and scrolling doesn’t suck at all. Until any adblocking solution exists on the Edge, I will stick with Chrome for now (Firefox also have similar bad performance with Chrome).

I’ve used Taobao for few years already, but I rarely use other function, since I just mainly search it directly rather than using the promotions page like 聚划算 ju.taobao.com. Any other ways to find good deals?

I just recently noticed, that watching YouTube on the tablet makes the CPU 100%, even I am just watching 720P videos. Watching 1080P videos will just shutter and unwatchable. Do you also experienced it? I never experience this on my previous tablet iWork 10, although it is peaking the CPU, but 1080P still playable.

I am looking forward for anyone that has some skill in hardware side to let us know how to fix the power problem on the first batch, maybe some soldering or hardware mod can gives some extra power to the dock. I don’t really mind to tear this thing apart since it is not that expensive to begin with.

Are the Windows 10 performance increased on the new revision? I am really looking forward for what modifications that needs to be done on my current tablet. Although the speed is acceptable, it is definitely slower than my previous iWork 10.

Yeah, the lack of Adblock is a definite con and I share that sentiment with you too.

The YouTube issue is really due to Chrome, though. Try firing up Edge and running Big Buck Bunny of YouTube at 2160p. Seems to run fine for me. I get the same issues as you face on Chrome too, 100% CPU usage, although 1080p videos play (relatively) smoothly on mine for the most part even on Chrome.

I’ve gotten another OTG USB-C (3.0) adapter on the way in anticipation of the other one not working, I’ll probably sell that one I got initially on Carousell. It’s the Baseus one without the power in.

Taobao’s 聚划算 page is where all the current time sales are consolidated into one page for easy reference, that’s why I use it. Otherwise I search Taobao manually like you too. Another option is to follow(关注)the stores; you’ll be notified when they put sales up if you have the mobile app.

I’ll run some benchmarks as well this weekend to see if performance has improved. I certainly think so though, my tablet seems a lot faster than the Chris’ in his video.
