I have had this with phones and cheap dirty chargers. Have you tried a different one?

Haven’t tried, but i can test that, but is strange up to 90% is OK, after that issues start. Also i notice if i grab tablet in my hands it will be less problematic. If it stay in my legs it goes crazy (Using fiber / cotton, it can generate eletrostatic but require movement). Maybe is a grounding issue because of the case?
I only have tested the charger, 12.20V steady
Other thing i notice is when i plug charger into tablet i can see a little spark on inserting
December 25, 2016 at 9:16 am #59221Try to clean the hole and put the charger before plug it to the energy source.
December 25, 2016 at 9:50 am #59225May or may not be relevant…….but have you had the mains “neutral” and “live” connections to your house power socket checked out? You may have a floating neutral. The mains neutral should be close to earth potential. If it isn’t, then your mains supply has a problem which should be fixed by an electrician. As I said, this may or may not be relevant, but worth checking!
December 25, 2016 at 2:10 pm #59234Windave has a point.
Are you Brazilian, Tiago? I’m Brazilian and I know most of our buildings have terrible energy problems.
December 25, 2016 at 6:50 pm #59241I’m from Portugal, my mains are clean and steady, with Earth connection, no issues or problems with that so far. Same happen when connected to a UPS.
I have buy a USB C charger to test, meanwhile i wil ltry other solutions
December 25, 2016 at 7:15 pm #59242Cubes charger is not grounded one.. Try to isolate cubes chargers jack and tablets metal chassis?

I know that. That require opening and jack is always soldered to the PCB grounded with GND (-) It would require cut PCB tracers, and in the end will do samething because it is always connected to GND pole. Jack being conected to GND is good design
December 25, 2016 at 7:39 pm #59244Do you have a surge protector? I solved some energy issues with good surge protectors here.

As i told i used my UPS to test, it have surge protection
December 25, 2016 at 9:21 pm #59247UPS is not good for your equipment if you don’t know.
It’s explained by an engineer, since you are from Portugal you can read this Brazilian topic. http://www.clubedohardware.com.br/forums/topic/613646-raz%C3%B5es-pelas-quais-os-estabilizadores-atrapalham-a-fonte-do-pc/
I was talking about a pro surge protector like this https://www.amazon.com/SurgeArrest-Performance-Protector-Protection-P11VNT3/dp/B0012YFXSW
It’s strange but I also fell for the UPS nonsense as well. I was warned by a guy who sold me a replace for my dead VGA, he told me to go to Clube do Hardware forum to seek information.
December 25, 2016 at 9:30 pm #59248s talking about a pro surge pro
My UPS is a True sine wave inverter plus stablizer.
Yes, my outlets have surge protection, my power grid are perfect good and never had a problem, and i have equipments 24/7 live. My father built it, he is a eletronic engineer.
It’s strange because is the second time, First Chuwi i had was perfect no problems… Second Chuwi had this problem but worst! Now i go to Cube and this happen when fully charged. I suspect is a bad connection inside or a bad GND in somewhere. As voltage rise up to 13V when plugged the magnetic fild is stronger… They should isolate Screen from magnetic fields emited from components
December 25, 2016 at 9:55 pm #59249I think the devices are the only ones to be blamed after all.
December 25, 2016 at 10:14 pm #59250I meant just to put tape around the DC connector so that it wont touch the chassis when you plug it in. Sincee chassis is metal and there is no plastic etc isolation around ports..
December 26, 2016 at 1:50 am #59254Today i have tried a new charger, same happen…
