I bought these ones, what do you think? http://s.aliexpress.com/Zf6BNNv2
How thick wire do you think I need?
March 10, 2016 at 8:03 pm #28748Daniel, im not sure if there is difference between 3g sim trays and 4g sim trays, .,(are an complete rookie on this field)
March 10, 2016 at 8:09 pm #28749Hmm, didn’t think on that… Well, I guess we’ll see. I’m just hoping I don’t burn anything else on the motherboard
March 12, 2016 at 7:16 am #28985btw’ tweak the display settings, and this display really comes alive, from an non laminated display, the officel settings is very dull and doesnt give much effect, but an adjustment work wonders.-
in what way should we tweak it? And which program to use?
March 14, 2016 at 12:06 am #29241Just use the inbuild intel hd media to adjust..
I set it to these (pic) and with an brigtness around 14 to 30 and most of the time under 20 øǿ.. (indoor use)

Me on the other hand, has really hit a speed-bump with the usb-wifi-thing. I wanted to try to solder on a regular usb-cable to the dongle first, just to try how it worked (see picture). And for some reason, when I plug it in the PC, I get a error message saying that this usb-device is malfunctioning and does not work.
But I have tried to do the same thing on 2 flash drives and a crappy no name usb wifi card. And them all work flawlessly. And it makes me really frustrated because I dont know what the diffrence is. And I dont know where I might get some help to solve it either.
Does someone know why it doesnt work or maybe give me a link to a forum that is more focused on electronics and soldering?

and it not because there are some small printcirquit in that usb attachement cable, but on the other hand it does work when you use it with other items..
have you tryed to take the usb-head-stick that comes with the ac600 and just attached the wires to that stick and if its the attachement of wires & wires length that undermines the effect, but i doubt that-.

hmm, im not quite sure I understand what you mean. You think that the usb-cable is too long?
March 16, 2016 at 2:24 pm #29641..
as i understand it wont work this ac600 wifi dongle, after you have peeled the materiel off and resoldered the pins to an old usb cable.
that old usb cable ‘ sometimes there is some inner cirquit on on the cable at the head under the platic..
you could try to take the original usb-head from the ac600 i can see in the picture laying solo, and see if it will work if you connect the wires to the orig.pins there.(to conclude if the board is fried, or its down to the wires, or perhaps the used usb-cable that is the corpriate & the sinner for not working.)
March 16, 2016 at 3:21 pm #29647Ahh, OK I think I understand now. Unfortunately, the usb-head you see is just an empty “frame”. It has no function on the wifi-card what so ever.
March 16, 2016 at 3:46 pm #29651yes exactly just an bare usb2frame-plug, but your attached cable didnt work /why?
is it the cable, or is it the print that are fried or is the wires attached.
if you connected the wires to the pins on that bare usb-plug-frame and it now works, you can conclude that it was the attached spare usb cable that made it not worked, and like i posted’ some of these usb-cables if you salvage if from something other, still have some minor cirquit-protection under the plastic, that can undermines the function if you used it with specific things..
and if it works with the usb2frame with wires, then take it of and just go ahead and attached it to the pins under the x2hood.
March 18, 2016 at 3:35 pm #29928Im so so sorry for beeing a retard, but I dont understand a squak of what you just wrote…
The situation is like this:
I know the cable works since it works with other devices I know that the wifi-usb works since it works when I remove the cable and connect it normally to my PC
March 19, 2016 at 11:30 pm #30087It can be an hurdle in trying to explain on foreign language, it almost easyer to just talk in danish.. 🙂

But i was just tryin to explain that that cable you have used and connected to the wifiprint, sometimes have an small board in the top, under the plastic, that level the power and more, and can be the reason for why it wont work in wifi-mode, and stil even if the cable work with other things, and only wifidongle it wont accept.
so just wanted you to try tho connect it again to the org USB2-bare-plug to see if that still works if desoldered back to original, and it aint the wifiprint or shortcirquit do to soldering and the dongle still works. (it seems it still does work back to original..)
anyway ‘ why not jump out in it and solder i to the x2 pro USB3 pins under the hood and partically if you have concluded that the print still works, when you put it back to the usb2 plug it original was in.
thx for experimeting Daniel, it could be massive if you could hijack the usb3 under the hood and optimise the ridicalus pour range… 🙂
March 19, 2016 at 11:58 pm #30088Im on this firmwarebuild (pictures)
It seems there are even more then the two versions of the x2 pro..
915gram version an 850gram version and also variants on the backcover where some are full back and some only middle back, but it seems there are models where both weight class have different backcovers.. so at’least+4 x2 pro models.
any forum that have concluded or compared differences between the models..

</noscript>Haha, actully, I think it will be harder for me to understand flawless danish than your english, Danish is a hardass language to understand 🙂
Yeah l´ll see if I have the time later today. Its just that in one way, I wanna do it, because it would be awesome if I could pull it off. And in another way I dont wanna do it, cause I might destroy the tablet…
