It can be an hurdle in trying to explain on foreign language, it almost easyer to just talk in danish.. :-)<noscript>:-)</noscript>

Me on the other hand, has really hit a speed-bump with the usb-wifi-thing. I wanted to try to solder on a regular usb-cable to the dongle first, just to try how it worked (see picture). And for some reason, when I plug it in the PC, I get a error message saying that this usb-device is malfunctioning and does not work. But I have tried to do the same thing on 2 flash drives and a crappy no name usb wifi card. And them all work flawlessly. And it makes me really frustrated because I dont know what the difference is. And I dont know where I might get some help to solve it either. Does someone know why it doesnt work or maybe give me a link to a forum that is more focused on electronics and soldering?

But i was just tryin to explain that that cable you have used and connected to the wifiprint, sometimes have an small board in the top, under the plastic, that level the power and more, and can be the reason for why it wont work in wifi-mode, and stil even if the cable work with other things, and only wifidongle it wont accept. so just wanted you to try tho connect it again to the org USB2-bare-plug to see if that still works if desoldered back to original, and it aint the wifiprint or shortcirquit do to soldering and the dongle still works. (it seems it still does work back to original..) anyway ‘ why not jump out in it and solder i to the x2 pro USB3 pins under the hood and partically if you have concluded that the print still works, when you put it back to the usb2 plug it original was in. thx for experimeting Daniel, it could be massive if you could hijack the usb3 under the hood and optimise the ridicalus pour range… :-)<noscript>:-)</noscript>

Haha, actully, I think it will be harder for me to understand flawless danish than your english, Danish is a hardass language to understand 🙂

Yeah l´ll see if I have the time later today. Its just that in one way, I wanna do it, because it would be awesome if I could pull it off. And in another way I dont wanna do it, cause I might destroy the tablet…

This is by far the biggest ego-boost I ever have gotten my self. It literately feels like I can walk on water now

And I can say that the speed is just amazing. At our kitchen-table i used to get around 0,5 mbit but now I get around 40 mbit.

If you have inserted it right and u dont see it, then its not compatible with the tablet. You are gonna have to return it and buy a new one

Daniel, before I bought this ssd I read about it. If you want expand memory in your x2 you have only 2 options when we talking about 512gb memory. ZTC or Transcend. I decided to buy ZTC. Has anyone 512GB ZTC inside x2 pro as a second drive? When I turn on my tablet a red led start lights and this is all. I switched this disc with my main but nothing happened. Still can’t see this disc.

But ZTC has alot of diffrent models, just because one ZTC works doesnt that mean that ALL ZTC ssd works.

I dont quite understand what you mean withbthe first sentence, but I only soldered it on the 4 usb 2.0-pins

No, so far I havent seen any drawbacks what so ever. except the obvoius one that you loose a usb-port, but it is so worth it. I will buy this one on aliexpress big sale the 29:e and buy a new charger that can charge both the tablet and this powered USB-hub with gigabit ethernet: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Ugreen-USB-Ethernet-10-100-1000-Mbps-Rj45-Gigabit-Network-Card-Lan-Adapter-3-Port-USB/32401431234.html

Yeah sure, here are some. As you can see, I have placed it above the top left corner of the battery. I simply removed the plastic cover that @anton showed us.

Edit: To sum up, it is SO worth it, I serioussly recommend everyone to do this. Its not hard at all, just a bit tricky since the pins are very small. And the speed, I mean, you cannot beleave how big the diffrence is

my first sentence, was just an kudos-reply to your excitment about you made it possible what i have wondered about in months. 🙂

as I recall it was the 600ac cirquit you soldered to the pins (9.5US shipped), and I would reckon that you could also max it up further with some of the faster dongles..

Daniel what speeds are you getting??  (thx for the pictures 🙂 )

Tryed the store app “internet speed test”..but it keeps stating upload values in the 3 digits(pic)..i do have an up-connection in these values but certainly not on x2 pro std wireless N that it should manage +300mb.. these wifi-values is optain just on top of router and just few feets away it drops like an hot potatoe with an range that are extremely pour…
