I also have the same problem with my X98 Pro for the last 7 days.. Please suggest how to solve this..
October 25, 2015 at 8:13 pm #14134Sorry, for the moment the problem is not resolved …
I am always looking for a solution. I continued to make test but nothing works perfectly….
December 6, 2015 at 3:22 pm #17764I got the same issue, but after i reinstall the windows using win 8.1 pro 32 bit, i never have that issue again…
December 6, 2015 at 3:31 pm #17766pS: the tablet also charges very very slow…maybe a batch of faulty batteries??
it not slow, but because the teclast battery has 8500 mAh. So, it take more times then usual

Maybe after updating your W8.1 to windows 10 the problem doesn’t appear. If that is true, then it will be about the official windows 10 installed. If that, we could install directly a windows 10 home clean iso, couldn’t we ?

http://reviewschinas.wordpress.com/December 16, 2015 at 5:19 pm #18841I’m having the same problems here..
initially the tablet works perfectly windows 10 and android 5.1but one day the tablet in standby crash and to enter the windows giving errors like this,
Recovery Your Pc couldn’t start properly
file:\windows\system32\winload.efi
error code: 0xc0000221
(…)
Press the Windows key for UEFI Firmware Settingsand android hardly can enter enter the system even after repair some errors but it is always crashing at some point
one time I could play a game up a bitit also crashes when I enter in the bios and spent some time like 5minutes…
I can not tell if it’s damaged hardware or very hot or perhaps be solved with a new bios or formatting all systems
Thanks
December 17, 2015 at 6:48 pm #18984I think I found the problem.. CPU Overheating
the errors and the problems I have mentioned are for showing because the tablet was always going down..
I put a bag with some ice and I could boot to windows, but temperatures on HWMonitor not stop climbing until about 10 minutes with cpu max core 84 degrees Celsius (in the ice) and the tablet crashed.. bluescreen, error: whea_uncorrectable_errorandroid also boot with the ice, and remains on standby
Now what? someone already sent back the tablet to repair?
December 17, 2015 at 7:26 pm #18989Now I’m confused.. the tablet crashed in android when I took the ice out and started to play a game but now I entered in windows without ice and run the Furmark and goes up to 87 degrees but no longer is crashing
now do not know what to do..

You’re not going to get that “repaired”. The X98 Pro has a design problem, and the same problems are happening to a lot of people. Teclast took a X98 Air and replaced the Atom Z3735F with an Atom Z8500. The Z8500 is more powerful and generates more heat, and the thermal solution of the tablet is unable to keep that CPU running at 100%. You can do two things: Limit the CPU so it does not go in turbo mode. or open the tablet and add copper pads and good thermal paste. You need to avoid the CPU getting to 85º.
December 17, 2015 at 7:40 pm #18991Idea 1: Check voltage output of charger. Should be 5 VDC. Using a known good charger, charge battery. Disconnect (unsolder) battery (BE CAREFUL, the battery is probably fully charged). Disconnect at least the hot (usually red) and data (usually white) leads. While disconnected, check voltage. If zero, you have a bad battery (and maybe a charger that can’t provide adequate current, but 5 VDC at low current is still 5 VDC, so you should get some charging). If the battery tested around 4VDC or higher, resolder the battery. This is a known fix for devices that the user unintentionally left on and the battery went to zero and the device appears bricked.
Idea 2: Clean install of non-CN Windows. Save your drivers and Windows key first. Option: Extract Windows key and download a set of known-good drivers for your model… should be on TT or XDA.
Idea 3: Replace the battery even if it tested good in step 1. Smart LiPo batteries can talk to the CPU. Windows uses that dialog. The battery telemetry chip may be bad. IDK about Android.
December 17, 2015 at 8:02 pm #18996I’m finding that is not only the temperature because I run the Furmark OK and it now crashed when it was in standby and has had normal temperature..
now is giving me error on the Teclast boot page, underneath says:
“OEM1 ACPI table parse error”as the repair if it is not repairable so they have to give me the money.. come on.. I bought at aliexpress and even paid fees, here:
where can I find the drivers, OS for this version of the tablet?
December 17, 2015 at 8:07 pm #18998Search TT for <double driver>. If drivers for X98 Pro are not on TT, look on XDA in the Teclast forum.
Read the threads on TT about reinstalling Windows from a USB thumb drive before trying it. It’s best if you extract your Windows key.. it should stay in firmware but you can’t extract it after the reinstall begins.
December 17, 2015 at 9:03 pm #19005Alright, I’ll check for now these forums and try to extract the windows key and files
the tablet for now is in standby mode and is not crashing for more than one hour..
I think it can be battery or charger also because whenever I put load it gives problems, for now batery 21%thanks everyone
December 18, 2015 at 2:33 pm #19060my friends
forget everything.. the tablet no longer connects.. I tried everything, the battery charges because I can see with a usb doctor charger, I press the power button 30 seconds several times but the table did not back
Fortunately I dont have there any files or something importantNow I can only speak for the aliexpress, I’m just a bit dark with guarantees..
I received the tablet less than one month but it took almost two months to arrive
someone has had to return ever something?December 18, 2015 at 6:59 pm #19095the tablet back on again, are you kidding me..
anyway I will try to return -
