There is a guide to reinstall windows on this site. I had a similar issues and the guide and downloads also on this site would not work. I bought mine from geekbuying and they sent me a link to a backup image of the complete device. I got Android flashed with no problems but could not get Windows to install. I bought a USB mouse, keyboard and and dock with four USB terminals and two USB sticks to do the install and I got farther with there method than the one on this site. Ultimately I had to send the tablet back to geekbuying. Not happy at all. The tablet seems rather unstable in both hardware and software. It’s a shame too because the build quality, screen, and specs were really good for the price. We will see if geekbuying will refund my money. Originally I asked them to fix it but then I decided to just get a refund because what happens if I need to update or reset the tablet in the future and the same thing happens. I really liked the tablet overall but the software integration was really bad.
I really hope you can resolve your issue. If not I could post a link to the geekbuying recovery files. I am not sure if I am allowed to do so. Maybe send me a message and any moderator reading this please let me know if I can post a link from Geekbuying blog.
Good luck!

April 18, 2016 at 10:47 pm #34187I have tried both methods using the WINPE windows 10 download from this forum on a fat32 formatted usb stick and it will not install. I also tried with a hub and regular windows 10 bootable usb and could not find any option in the bios to start from usb. I am stuck.
any other help would be greatly appreciated.
April 17, 2016 at 10:07 pm #33996I bought a USB hub a USB keyboard and mouse and was able to access the bios but there is no option to boot usb. So I still am stuck. I really want windows to work again. I have asked for any help and not even a single response. I have contacted the seller and they have not responded yet. Besides flashing the bios is there any way to install Windows on this device? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
April 16, 2016 at 4:52 pm #33807If anyone could give a clear guide about how to extract the 4 windows files and put them properly on the USB drive it would really help as I think that is the problem. Somehow the USB is not recognized. It is named WINPE and formatted in fat32. I have extracted the files but I get some errors doing so. I have tried downloading the files twice and nothing seems to work. I really need help please!
April 10, 2016 at 12:42 am #32864The Teclast x98 is pretty awesome. I just got mine a few days ago. My only complaint is battery life. The intel cherry trail is a beast. I confirmed that my model has the 30400 mWh battery which is three times the standard size but still the processor goes through the battery rather quickly. Windows never seems to give an accurate reading.
Honesty for $240 nothing else comes close. Is it perfect? No but what piece of technology is ever perfect? It feels well made, has a great bright high res screen normally not found in windows. The bonus of dual boot is really cool. I am not particularly found of the stock rom but with the custom rom on this site it helps a lot.
I also really like the size. It is very portable but still has a large enough screen to be productive. My model is the newest and honestly it seems like most of the kinks have been worked out. I can wholeheartedly recommend this tablet. I have never tried banggood and I am sure they are a good retailer from the impression I get from others on this site. I can also recommend Geekbuying where I got mine. Came well packaged with original box and each unit is pre inspected unlike Gearbest. I had a really bad experience with Gearbest so I am warning you against them. I would go with banggood or geekbuying. Geekbuying also has a real one year warranty, speedy dhl shipping , refunds paypal if you cancel or have proeblems unlike Gearbest.
Also this website is so helpful. Chris is awesome with his reviews and having a custom rom and drivers etc. in one place is really great.
I almost bought the x98 plus but I am really happy I got the x98 pro. If it were not for all the reviews and videos by Chris I would have never gotten this model. Seriously Teclast should give you a salary! Thank you for all your hard work!
