I’ve charged it so I can show gearbest its DOA. Unfortunately this did not resolve the issue. Still waiting for an RMA number from them to ship it back. If they don’t take care of it soon enough I can always revert to a paypal dispute.

Chris (or anyone else who has opened their tablet) do we have a model number for the battery pack? it could possibly be something that could be replaced.

Thank you Chris, definitely looking to doing a clean install once I receive mine. While I don’t know if Chuwi themselves would infect their machines, a supply chain attack makes a lot of sense for something nasty to ride along.

If you don’t have any warranty options, I would try opening it following Chris’s video and unplug the battery connector. Hold the power button to do a power flush, then plug it back in. Of course this will void any warranty, so try those options first. Just ordered mine, hopefully this won’t be a wide spread issue.
