I’m guessing you might have to trackdiwn the specific drivers for the touchscreen.

It appears to be exactly like the Pro. You might as well get the Pro on Banggood since they have it cheaper. Plus shipping times on gearbeast sucks.

I got my tablet from banggood in 2 weeks. That was a huge surprise. No retail box though, but they warn you about that before you buy it so I expected that.

I havent done it, but if you were to do something like that, you may have to use gpart to get rid of the partitions.

No OTA android updates so far. With these types of Chinese tablets, OTA updates are rare unless a third party makes their own.

Windows 10 on the other hand gets updated often because MS controls the updates and push them out to the OS often.

Just to add, in the comment section of the link, the guy who is complaining about a bunch of FAILED errors after selecting the boot mode– that is exactly what is happening to me. I’ve tried another PC and the same thing happens.

Did you tried this guide https://translate.google.es/translate?hl=en&sl=it&u=http://tuxnews.it/guida-root-e-recovery-su-teclast-x80plus/&prev=search It’s for the plus variant but maybe works because the hardware are the same Regards

Just tried it. Everything goes well until I have to enter the Recovery Mode. When I select Recovery Mode, I get the picture of the dead Android with a red exclamation mark coming out of its chest. I tried using both CWM and TWRP from the tutorial and I get the same result each time I get to the Recovery Mode.

Would this work on the x80 pro?

I could only get 64gb recognized with android. Win 10 does recognize my 32gb cards though. For app2sd or any of those SD software transfer apps, you’ll need root access for those to work. Unfortunately I don’t know how to root this device. I tried a few of those all purpose tools like Kingroot, but they never work.

The battery is not that huge, so it doesn’t last long.

I should also add: in the Android OS, there’s a bunch of photos and movie trailers stored on it for some weird reason. Deleting all that junk will let you retain over 700MB of space.

I recently bought mine for $77 at Banggood for school, but it’s the x80 Pro model, which has a higher screen resolution than the Plus model. At that price for a dual os tablet, I’m satisfied even though it’s far from perfect.

    PROS:

    • Dual OS
    • Decent screen resolution for such a low price.
    • Portable
    • Everything works, but not perfectly.
    • Mini HDMI out connector. I haven’t tested this yet, so I can’t really comment about its functionality.
    • Easy to switch between OSs.

    CONS:

    • Mono speaker is horrible. You’ll either need to use head phones or pair it w/ an external speaker or else you’ll barely hear anything.
    • Windows 10 generates more heat and uses more power than the Android OS.
    • Poor battery life. I could get it to last about 4hrs of continuous use w/ Android; but w/ Windows 10, maybe 2 to 3 hrs.
    • Video playback works better in Android, especially Kodi.
    • Wifi signal is on the weak side.
    • Issues w/ various brands and sizes of SD cards being recognized. Android seems to recognize them better than Windows 10.

It has its issues, but for the price, I’ll deal w/ it and don’t have any regrets buying it. The biggest issues might be the poor battery life and wifi reception.
