Subject: Teclast X98 Plus – General Customer Dissatisfaction Regarding: reading SDXC card.
Date: Tue, 5 Apr 2016 06:34:08 -0600Greetings,There are many people myself included that are extremely frustrated with the lack of a solution for the SDXC card reading issue on the X98 Plus. I am reaching the point unless there is some communication from your firm, with a commitment and a firm date to have the matter resolved, to begin and suggest to others that we initiate negative reviews of your firm and products.
Please review the 14 pages of comments on this issue at this URL and respond not only to me but to others.
Best Regards from a formerly excited Teclast customer,
DeanApril 5, 2016 at 12:41 am #32038I’m pretty frustrated with Teclast for their questionable QA process and lack of follow up on resolving the problem.
March 19, 2016 at 7:33 pm #30076Hi James, I had set the driver to the SDA driver and saved that as the driver and now the device won’t boot. I wanted to go into the repair mode, and backup the SDA driver and replace it with the SD driver so the device will boot. But I can’t determine the file name of the SDA driver in the drivers directory to effect this repair…. thanks for taking the time to reply.
March 19, 2016 at 4:03 pm #30053Does anyone know the file name of this driver: SDA Standard Compliant SD Host Controller?
March 17, 2016 at 2:44 am #29727Hi MadMax, Thank you for taking the time to help! I had tried the SDA Standard Compliant SD Host Controller. I’m hoping I can backup the SDA Compliant driver then overwrite it with a the Intel SD Host Controller file, and get the unit to boot….
I don’t blame you for not wanting to press next. I didn’t think that the boot device would show up as an sd device, but…. It looks like you have two Intel sd host controller drivers, I assume one is the Windows 8.1 version that lets you use the SD card with Windows 10? This qualifies as a big ooops! Thanks for the help!
March 17, 2016 at 1:56 am #29720Hi All, I am trying to get the names of both sd driver files on the X98. I didn’t realize that the 64 GB of storage uses the same drivers, and I “semi-bricked” my x98. I think I can fix it if I can get the name of the so called compatible driver for the sdhost from the device manager. I was wondering if someone could go into the device manager, pick one of the sdhost devices, bring up the properties, indicate that you want to update the driver, and pick local drivers rather than search windows, select compatible drivers. There is one other driver file that will show up, I need to get the file name for that driver. Thanks!
