I guess that sometimes, a “dumb” powefull (more than 1.5A) charger like the one provided by Chuwi can charge faster. My understanding (if anyone knows better than me, please correct!) is that smart chargers “negotiate” the amperage that they use with the device connected. So they charge at a “safe’ amperage that the device agrees on. A dumb charger doesn’t bother with negotiations and charges at full speed without any consideration. Is it better? No idea, probably not. Is it faster? certainly.

I get 2.12A from my Samsung Galaxy S6/Note5/S7 travel quick charger at 5 volts. Works the best for me and it’s a small and safe charger, make sure you use a good gauge usb cable.

Thank you for the information and advices!

I tried a lot of games on my chuwi hi12 (call of duty 1 from 2003, tzar from 2000, medal of honor allied assault…), as you can see all of them are very old and I can play them fluid. The problem is when msi afterburner register more than 70 degrees, that is dangerous for the motherboard so control the temperature all the time to avoid scares xD.

@disquitopower Beep? What beep is this? Or do you mean the static noise over the speakers?

I hear a strange noise when I use the headphones like a faster and lower sharp beep as we heard with low brightness with  the speakers. It’s really strange but I read that I’m not the only person with this strange problem. Anyways my ears will end up getting used to that xD. I am reading too that lags in google chrome is a usual problem with this processors…  At the moment I am wrting this I received the email of Chuwi answering at my question of the 70 degrees while playing: “you must lower the temperature with a fan”, I don’t know whether to laugh or to cry 😀

And @Chris g ,Is there any known form to remove that annoying beep ? I have that  problem with one of the two chuwis I bought (the gray, because the gold one is for my sister and her tablet works without problems) and it drives me crazy when I use helmets during reproduction of films, music or videogames in my tablet :(. That is the problem that bothers me next to the lags with the videos at google chrome like using YOMVI for example.

    Thanks

I have two Chuwis hi12 from first sales and both are working perfectly. With keyboard the chuwi is like a real laptop. The worst part of this tablets is the internal construction and care that you must have with them to extend their lives like no charging while using them. I will buy more for my friends but the version of Win10 because I don’t want android system.

no charging while using, do you think it is acceptable? it’s a way to declare ‘hey we have got engineers that have put bios too close to cpu and it fried easily because the chip used is the cheapest one on the market. what we can do? change mb to our customers for free or new hw revision and say: don’t use while charging or for a long time with demanding apps? …. hell to customers we already have got their money’ mine chuwi hi12 is working good for now but remember it’s like a clock bomb. and what about android for first hw revision? on my box it’s declared dual os (see attached image)… up to now no news about bios upgrade and android image and on chuwi international forum don’t want to answer to a simple question: what chuwi means by product discontinued? production or support? http://forum.chuwi.com/thread-1160-9-1.html

I am agree in all that you say friend. But we know that these are the risks that we take buying chinese tablets with low prices like this chuwis and  I think the risk was worth it for now. I’ve  been the most critical person of the lack of responsibility of chuwi’s company at the spanish forums, but it’s all alike to me while my tablets continue working. Sues Chinese courts are very expensive and they know it.

I hope that bios will stay alive but I am asking them if having 70 degrees during a time of gaming could damage the bios or not although I bought the tablet to work.

Guys, minutes ago Chuwi on FB gave me this link and said the keyboard is in stock for inmediate shipping: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Original-CHUWI-Hi12-Rotating-Keyboard-Case-Protective-Tablet-Case-Removable-12-inch-Tablet-Keyboard-For-Hi12/32643060371.html don’t know if is true.

Meanwhile banggood delays the day of stock to the 21th of april. All very logic…

Sorry for that, I can’t answer you because I haven’t received my chuwi yet. By the way Could you please tell us where did you buy the tablet??

    Thanks and good luck

Edit: I’ve just read that you bought tablet from banggod… I am waiting two chuwis hi12 from that site so I am pretty nervous. IS there any posibility to reject the package from r postman to return to China without problems or costs??  I am considering that possibility because one of the tablets is not for me.

Everything indicates that is the same tablet but with new software. Official suport of chuwi is telling that they will post how to update chuwis hi12 into a dual boot system.

hey Guys, i don’t understand french, but in this video I can see for the first time the keyboard of chuwi hi12…  Go to 7:55 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rxci52dTGM At least I can confirm that it exists… It’s different than the keyboard which Chuwi showed us in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xykxcDJvp7Q

And now they are announcing the new model that you can see in their facebook and here http://www.ibtimes.com/chuwi-hibook-powerful-2-1-tablet-windows-10-android-51-dual-os-releasing-next-month-2336532. Is worst than chuwi hi12 (battery, screen…), but the new thing is that it will have dual boot and perhaps it will be sell with the keyboard as a notebook ?

I opened a dispute with my aliexpress seller and asked him to cancel and refund. As my tablet has failed i have no use for it, and the tracking number is fake anyway, he hasnt shipped jack shit.

I’ve given one week more to the seller before opening dispute against him hoping that he will send it. Tell us if he refund you the money.
