Just received a dead Chuwi X80 Pro that was meant to replace the terrible Teclast. I have no luck with Chinese tablets 🙁

This tablet is totally useless because of the poor wifi, just can’t believe it had good reviews here and elsewhere. Don’t buy it if you care about your health 😉

This is the result of throwing it to the wall out of frustration.

That’s why I’m convinced it’s some settings or bios related issue. Many laptops and tablets have the same Realtek card without these problems.

I fully agree. The wifi problems make this tablet practically useless. Totally regret not getting a new Chuwi Hi8 instead which worked so much faster and better than the X80 Pro.

Do you have any video how to open this tablet? Because I need to change my broken touch screen. I rage quit, because of bad wifi (video below) ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zBw9fJl12I Edit: Nevermind I managed to open backplate.

Haha that’s how I broke my Chuwi Hi8!

Which reminds me: would it be possible to replace the wifi card in the Teclast by the wifi from the Chuwi? It was so much better.

Not sure it’s a hardware problem in my case since under Android it’s working fine. So my guess it has to so something with the settings under Windows. What is your throughput under Android?

Good one! Under Android it’s way better so it must be Windows related. Got full bars under both systems but under Windows I got 2 Mbs max and Android speedtests showed 15 Mbs.

Worked for me. Reinserted the card after the bios adjustment and it was there.  Thanks!

Don’t think so no… I use a powered hub that might have caused the problem. It’s gone today again so it’s a bit of a mystery.

I do have random freezes of Chrome with Wifi breaking down. A reboot is then the only solution.

I had the same problem. Rolled back the driver for the Intel HD graphic card and that solved it. Normally charging again with auto brightness turned off.

Edit: I was too fast. Problem is now back again… don’t know how to solve it permanently.

So I got my Android back by simply reinstalling the OS Switch. Everything was still there and is working fine 🙂

Now I need to find out how to activate Windows 10 because I get the same error as Martijn.

Sadly it seems I now have only Windows 10 left. Now more OS switch icon and I’m not sure Android is still even there. Is there a way to check and fix it?
