    New update.

I just updated to windows 11, the released version, and everything works now. I had previously updated to a developer version and had the issues but did a fresh Windows 10 install (keyboard/mouse not turning off), updated to windows 11 and now when I flip the screen the keyboard and mouse turn off again.

    Hi Lads and Lasses,

Here is something for those, like me who never got their keyboard and mouse to stop working in tablet mode.

I have a Kogan Y300 convertible and like a lot of you reinstalled windows without doing a backup first.  As a consequence tablet mode stopped working. I have tried everything in this and other threads, Kogan don’t supply drivers or disk image for this laptop and nobody has put an image of their drive up anywhere.

Anyway, i had this program called reWASD, which i use to remap an xbox controller that i use for games on the PC and I wondered if I could remap all the keyboard keys to do nothing. Lo and behold this works. It is quite possibly the clunkiest way of disabling the trackpad and keyboard but it is the only way that I have managed with this kogan laptop.

I can now flip the screen, the laptop goes into tablet mode (keyboard and mouse still active) and a couple of presses on the screen to apply reWASD and the keyboard and mouse buttons (havent got the trackpad fully disabled) stop working. to start them again its either ctl/alt/del or just use the touchscreen.

Anyway, if nothing else here works for you (and this thread is the most informative on the interwebs for this problem), might be worth giving this a go. The free version should be able to cover one device (keyboard/trackpad).

    Good Luck
