Thanks Joachim. Copy that. I may buy it at the beginning of october. In the mean time, I will try to gather as much information as possible and if I find something interesting, I will post it here.
Cheers!
August 26, 2017 at 12:23 am #70979Hello guys,
Last year I got a Teclast X98 Plus II. Not very happy overall with this tablet, however I really liked the dual boot concept. Now, thinking in upgrading to a new tablet, I would like to know how you guys managed to install a stable Android ROM in the Cube Mix Plus as well as the experience in these ROMs that you tried (performance, wifi connection, etc).
Thank you in advance for the answers
July 23, 2016 at 7:05 pm #44299I’m working on my final review video edit soon, but it’s going to get a hammering for the poor wifi speeds. It’s worse than almost everything I’ve tested in the last year. I recommend getting the X98 Plus (First version).
Hi,
Could you please confirm that there is a significant difference between both models regarding to the Wifi signal?
And if you compre Plus II Vs Pro? It is more or less the same difference that Plus and Plus II?
July 23, 2016 at 9:04 am #44278Is the WiFi only performing poorly in Windows or both Windows and Android?
Both work poorly for me.
July 22, 2016 at 3:12 pm #44207I just tested with Antenna Diversity on and off. Seems about the same.
Yes, I am trying different settings and no improvements in sight. Just thinking seriously to change the tablet for the older version. Does anybody recommend me to go for the Pro one? Does the extra money worth it?
Thanks a lot to everybody again for your feedback and help.
July 21, 2016 at 6:24 pm #44122… or it may indicate that both Android and Win10 drivers are misconfigured
I do really hope so. Whenever you find a set up for getting just a decent speed let me know. Do you have any trouble with Android WiFi?
For those who are trying to do an OTA upgrade, I sent an email to Teclast aftersale service asking for a tutorial and files to upgrade locally. Let’s hope they will answer soon.
July 21, 2016 at 10:46 am #44076@ega2002 In my specific case, I am having troubles in both OS, so I suppose it may indicate something heavier than just a driver missworking.
July 21, 2016 at 12:20 am #44047@Chris thanks for reporting this. I think it is good reason enough for returning back this device, even the performance of both OS is very smooth. I will wait a little just to see wether it’s possible to fix it by an upgrade.
@ega2002 I checked and my tablet is connecting with 11n, and it strugles with just trying to do a speed test. I am trying to connect from just a room away where the AP is set.July 20, 2016 at 6:13 pm #44019July 20, 2016 at 3:18 pm #43996Hi Alexander,
Does the download weight around 54 mb and when it finishes, does the app say that download failed?
Cheers
July 20, 2016 at 1:11 pm #43990Hi again,
I found also that android is only taking advantage of 2 Gb, instead of 4 Gb. Could anyone explain that? Is it because of Android 5.1?
Cheers
July 20, 2016 at 10:30 am #43984Hi everyone,
I am new here. I just recieved a Teclast X98 Plus II and for the moment everything is fine but the wifi. It has a very poor performance and it only works when I am right behind the rooter, and even so, I still get low speed.
I tried to do an OTA update, and my tablet finds one availabe, but it is unable to download the required files. Browsing works fine un both OS.
I saw also that previous firmwares had some issues with wifi, so does anybody know how to locally do an OTA upgrade?
I do not know what to do, it is my very first android tablet as well as my first chinese device. Do you think I should try to install a custom ROM in order to fix this? Will I loose the warranty? I saw one of forums’s fellow posted the chinese site to install the custom ROM, but I have no experience in flashing android devices.
Thank you all in advance!
