I have tried several different adapters of differing costs (one was $45 CAD) and my conclusion has been that the tablet itself has a faulty charge port. Which is a shame. Though I’m not sure if its a standardized thing, I would assume that DC ports are fairly simple and therefore interchangeable, if you have the skillset.
June 14, 2017 at 1:54 pm #68161That’s exactly the same thing that happened to me! I gave my Cube i7 Stylus to my mother and at some point she tripped over the charge cord. It stripped the port off the charge cord so I had to replace that, but the tablet itself refuses to charge. It does recognize that it is plugged in but the battery goes down as if it was not plugged in. As of yet I haven’t gotten around to trying to repair the port but I was going to rip open some devices with the right size of port and see if I can do a frankenstein job on it myself.
March 10, 2017 at 3:26 pm #63225The biggest worry is whether the battery will fit or not – I replaced my Teclast x98 Air 3G’s battery awhile ago and ran into problems with bulging and screen/touch digitizer contact (the dreaded bubbles). You will also run into issues with less-than-reliable mAh claims by various sellers – keep a very close eye on reviews of sellers and especially the negative reviews, as you know stuff from China is very hard to return/replace.
If you do successfully replace it and you notice the capacity is less than you would expect, give it a few cycles before judging – I had the same issue with my x98 Air 3G and figured the battery was fraudulent, but found that the capacity improved after 6 or 7 cycles.
March 10, 2017 at 3:14 pm #63223I bought a cube i7 stylus and it’s worked fantastically for the year I’ve had it.

I can’t think of any negatives, in fact. I was able to play Fallout: New Vegas at a decent resolution (low settings) at ~30 FPS, to give you an idea of the kind of power it has. And as you can see, nowadays its around $350 USD or so, which is a pretty good deal. Only complaint I have is that the screen is not fully laminated, which means you have plenty of reflections in a high brightness situation. That said, you do have a micro HDMI-out for using it with a TV or monitor.
