I doubt they will help me. They don’t answer emails and as soon as they see I’ve opened mine it will be void my warranty, same goes for returning it. I’ll have a look and see if I can solder on some thin wires. But they are so tiny the contacts.

Be sure to train first on some old hardware if you happen to have one cause judging buy the photo above its really small layout to operate. Don’t want to sound as Captain Obvious here but soldering station (solder with adjustable wattage and really thin pin) is highly recommended.

Can’t  be 100% sure but the idea of using conductive glue (conductive adhesive) sounds promising as you really need to attach wires and not solder out the chip from its place.

Whoa! Sorry to hear this :((( Ignore my YouTube comment then which I left couple of minutes ago after watching the internals review.

I think it worth a try to contact to So Cube store and ask for their help – maybe there is a solution without soldering?

I also found this engineer guru “PowerElectronicsBlog” in YouTube who has i7 stylus: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6s6hzKdt0KnxyECKV0TiCw and he surely does look pro and enthusiastic  at this stuff. Would contact him if I were you.

TechTablets community is with you (I hope).

What do you guys think? Stylus is important to me and i guess the i9 will have one release soon with stylus support? I love the 16:10 format on the i9 but the x3 has twice as much memory which makes it much better for multimedia work, unless the i9 get 8gb as well to compete with it? Is there other key differences? Which would you recommend? is there any other tablets in the same price range that can compete with these two? it would be used mostly for multimedia work like Photoshop and 3d modeling.

Let’s wait for Chris reviews them both. And btw 3d modeling on a 11-12inch tablet is the worst nightmare I can imagine. Spare your eyes.

@scott thanks man! As far as I can see the edge bleeding is similar to cube i7 but I bet it doesn’t bother you on normal brightness level.

Backlight bleed is minimal on mine, normally it’s not a problem on non-laminated displays. My SP4 is far, far worse than my I9.

Would be nice if you cover that subject with comparison of SP4 and Hi12 in a final review.

Personally  I’m in a middle of decision. I own i7 stylus already but can’t  say I’m very satisfied with it. The biggest concern I have is that i9 may have same quality as it’s  predecessor like sharp cover’s corners, a bit average display (especially compare to Chuwi Hi12) and etc. Still have few days to decide.

@scott may I ask you to take a shot of a black screen with maximum brightness? I would like to know if quality of i9 has improved over i7 in terms of edge bleeding.
