    I had similar problems and the issue solved itself.

    Unfortunately I don’t know with of following did the trick

    I turned the tablet completely off and  charged it overnight with new charging cable and with a good 2.5A universal USB charger.

    I know that the cable quality is crucial for the tablet’s charging cycles.

    Cheap/thin/long cables just don’t work… 🙁
    Even “high quality” USB extension cords may cut the charging power with 1/3’d !!!

    Why on earth didn’t I think of that for few weeks ago.
    I ordered several different longer (120cm) cables… All in garbage now! 🙁

    How long are these cables?
    Only working cable I’ve found so far are the 60cm cables from AliExpress.I’ve been looking for at least 120-150cm cables everywhere…

    The dissappeared bootmenu issue solved

    Turn off. Then press an hold vol+ & power key for 2-3 seconds.

    Well, I ended up with a total factory reset when accidentally deleted wrong file 😉

    It wasn’t that hard as long as You did exactly as it says in guide!

    I assume You can change the language easily.

    My biggest hope for this ROM is at least some improvements in battery time, original Android ROM is totally useless!
    Hopefully I’m able to flash during weekend…

    Maybe someone knows the name of that .akp-file?
    I managed to extract all apk’s from the recovery (mentioned in Factory Reset thread) system.img.
    Now I just need to find out witch .apk to install…

    Any help highly appreciated!! 🙂

    I’ve ordered a couple of “2.5mm USB power cord” (search on aliexpress).
    I have few spare 2.5-3.0 Amp USB chargers I hope I can use with these cables on my x16.Anyone tried this??

    Only approx 1-1.50 USD each…
