@Giovanni Did you managed to get the fix permanent on the opened up and flashed unit with the programmer? I tried out to flash from windows when the all thing was still at it’s embrional state and I ended up with my unit not turning up except from the Power Led and the Charging Led.

I now decided to try and put it back to life, have you got any succes flashing the 25LB64 with the CH341A programmer?

Thanks for all the effort you are putting into this!

    Cheers from Italy!

P.S. My motherboard looks a bit different than the one you show in the photo, it seems like they changed it during production somewhere between V4 and V5

I’m interested in what stupid mistake you did? I have V4.5 with keyboard lag and I’m quite pissed with it. Going to flash V4 bios and hope it will fix that. Found instructions from the other thread. So in uefi shell just backup first and then flash jumper.rom. EDIT: Or is the jumper.rom the edited version for the yepo and the other jumper file the original and it must that one?

I tried to flash from windows with the exe utility, flashing in the uefi shell should be fine!

    I hope for success! 🙂

I just bricked my device trying to do so, I ‘m trying to recover now by reprogramming the EPROM after the bad flash. If I’ll get it to work I’ll try to write what I did and what went wrong so everyone can avoid my mistakes. Go easy on the bios!

sorry to hear that… did you try to update from 4 to 5??? if you bricked the bios maybe you need to reprogram it

I tried to downgrade to get the power limit option from V5 (build 09/03/17) to V4 (08/**/17)

I made a stupid mistake and now the power button just light up the power indicator but screen has no sign of life.

“Luckly” I saved my .rom BIOS before doing the silly thing.

Now I’m trying to understand which EPROM programmer should I get and if ISP of the EPROM is possible.

Seems to be yes. Use external programmer to recover. No other options!!! It works, i did many times on Teclast and Onda tablets with 100% success.

If I’ll be able to get to the chip and if I’ll be able to recognize it I might try to do it, I’ve no idea on where to start sincerly.

But still, if there’s no other way I might just give it a try! What programmer should I get to start with?

Btw, i think you used the wrong ROM file, i downgraded my V5 with Yepo’s guy jumper.rom file successfully.

Nice, I feel even more stupid now! Thanks for the fast reply!

I looked around for an NVRAM reset guide on the forums but I dind’t found much, the only reference was this post which is talking about a similar problem but with another device:

    Hello from France.

My TbooK 10 BIOS settings are wrong and I can not boot anymore. I’ve got a black screen with backlight activated but nothing other…

The only solution is to reset NVRAM or BIOS settings, and it seems easy : USB HUB, FAT32 formatted USB-Key with the BIOS file (dump), powering up with keys combinations (Win+ESC or Win+B for InsydeH20 BIOS) and that’s all, the tablet should re-flash the BIOS and boot !

But no-one has got this dump of his BIOS. It seems to be easy to make a backup with the Insyde software on Windows 10.Help would be very appreciated !  Thanks !!

I tried it use the same method but no signs of life!

I was looking for the HID drivers that comes with the device, the ones installed on the new V4 pro batch (I recived it today) looks really old (around 2006). Could this be an issue? Have you guys found any workaround?
