Have you solved the problem? You can use a USB keyboard. I usually connect my desktop USB keyboard to the tablet with the USB adapter cable and I can boot into BIOS by pressing down ESC key. A simple recovery process could help.February 3, 2017 at 4:23 am #61483
Thanks for your opinions. I removed the thermal mod back, cleaned all the mess and tested again and again. The noise is still there. CPU starts producing noise when the tablet is powered on and stops when it is completely shut down. It doesn’t affect on performance and the tablet seems to run completely fine.January 27, 2017 at 9:43 am #61042
The Continuum dock is for Windows Mobile Phones. The Dell dock should be compatible, but it’s super expansive (maybe around $ 200?) ၤ You can find much cheaper and reliable ones from Aukey, Anker etc on Amazon.January 27, 2017 at 8:45 am #61037
Thanks Chris. It seems the noise comes directly from the CPU. It is not very loud and with the back cover attached, it is barely noticeable. I will remove all the residual thermal paste from the CPU to check whether the paste is causing the problem or not.
