I sent it back to Gearbest for replacement.
I don’t believe this is a BIOS issue. Also- BIOS images are substantially smaller then 3.56Gb, so I suspect your link includes a complete Windows 10 image..
January 20, 2016 at 8:59 am #23103That’s the main problem with Aliexpress, you’re “in their hands” and they’re very far from eBay and PayPal’s standards of customer service..
I can think of two options:
- Are you entitled to return the device for a refund regardless of the malfunction? It may be a satisfactory solution.
- Some credit card companies act as another layer of protection for the customer. Try contacting your credit card company directly and ask for their assistance with getting a refund for defective goods.
January 20, 2016 at 8:42 am #23101It doesn’t seem like a software issue, as mine had the exact same issue.
Shoot a video where you show that three keyboards don’t work.. What are the chances that they are all defective?
Also add a link to this forum.. It is a well known problem by now. I am starting to believe the Ultimate version was not tested very well before shipping..
I sent mine back for a replacement, with a specific request to test it with a keyboard before shipping it back to me..
January 16, 2016 at 6:52 pm #22580I tried that a couple of days ago.. Didn’t work for me đ hopefully the replacement would work as this seems like a great tablet.
January 15, 2016 at 7:20 pm #22480Thanks Chris!
Just to clarify- you have the VI10 ultimate 64GB, that comes with Windows 10 only and a z8300 Cherrytrail CPU?
And the keyboard is an integrated kryboard/touchpad case with a 5 prong dock connector?
Where did you buy the tablet and the keyboard from?

I bought from Gearbest, and they told me to ship it back to them for a replacement, but I’m afraid they won’t verify the replacement works with the keyboard and i’ll end up with the same issue..
January 14, 2016 at 6:13 am #22289I’m having the same issue!
I also opened a thread in CHUWI’s forum (http://forum.chuwi.com/forum-70-1.html). Hopefully someone there would be able to find a solution.
I’m assuming that it is a BIOS setting, or a firmware issue that’s responsible for the problem.
January 14, 2016 at 6:10 am #22287I hope yours will work!
Which keyboard did you order?
Let me know when you get it!
January 13, 2016 at 8:29 pm #22239Managed to get into the BIOS..
Does anyone know of a BIOS setting that enables/disables the keyboard dock? There are four pins on the bottom of the device where it connects to the keyboard case.
