    Bumping this.

Anyone know of a replacement battery that works?

I have been happy about the batterylife on the thinker untill it suddenly died. now i get about 5 minutes after i disconnect it from the charger.

Yeah i use both the surface pro or my galaxy note for previewing all the time. Snap a photo and it pops up on the tablet or phone within seconds. Great if you are alone and want to see the results on a bigger screen and test potential or if you have a guy with you he can sit with the tablet and file the images or do light editing as you go.

Its a great tool to have in the backpack

I work professionally with photo and video and have been thinking of getting the x3 myself as well.

At work i have the surface pro 4 with the m3-6y30 and 4 gigs of ram. It can actually handle the raw files from a 5D III quite good. draggings sliders and doing color adjustments is actually pretty fast. no real time but very managable. Its more distortion type effects that will require more patience. I actually think the x3 would perform better than my surface because of the 8 gigs of ram it has and because the surface has a much higher resolution which drains a lot of power when rendering

Combine it with a wifi sd card and set it to transfer the raw files as you shoot and you have a very descent way of checking your results awhile you are out and then finalising the shots back at the office on your workstation

For my part if something like this would work i would cut a rectangular hole in the back of the tablet for a more quick connect possibility. It wouldnt look to bad either seeing as the hole would be behind the kickstand?

if the USB-C on the tablet were supported by thunderbolt 3 then that off course would be the best option for eGPU.
