@Ja I just wanted to ask the same exact question…
It’s too sad to waste an USB port for wifi (i’ve bought this tablet because i can use 2!)
Can’t we use an internal M.2 wifi card?? Would it be possible in any way?
December 26, 2015 at 4:11 pm #20000And, as far as I’ve seen, the wifi of this tablet need more speed, not power/range…
I’m looking towards a small external usb dongle … we have 2 usb… let’s just use one…
December 24, 2015 at 3:27 pm #19832(long post, sorry guys, too much enthusiasm… XD )
I highly suggest a fresh install of W10 on this tablet. (tought my license was not automatically activated after my method, I had to use “another way” to activate it)
I’ll write a list of things I did…. maybe not strictly necessary, but hey… (someone correct me if some step is questionable)
– with DoubleDriver software do a backup of all drivers in the tablet, a backup outside of the tablet, obviously
– do a backup copy of C:\Windows\INF\TouchSetting.gt file (needed for the capacitive win key), again outside the tablet
– make a bootable UEFI USB drive with the windows 10 .iso
– connect the bootable usb drive + a mouse-keyboard combo in the 2 usb slots
– turn on the tablet and “spam” delete and forward delete buttons to enter the bios
– on the last tab of the bios select manually the usb drive (override) and launch W10 installation
– after w10 is installed do what you need to activate your copy of windows
– connect to the internet trought wifi, do all updates (do multiple reboots, and multiple check for updates)
– when finished with updates do a reboot and go to device manager (right click on windows logo at bottom left)
– for all unistalled hardware, do manual install and select a folder where to search the drivers, select the backup folder you did with DoubleDriver
– copy back again the TouchSettings.gt file into C:\Windows\INF for the capacitive win key
I’ve done like this and everything seems pretty good.
Good news!
My pen arrived! Works great!
(ok not comparable with surface or iPad pro pens, but great for 15$!)
It’s active, with an AAAA battery, it has very less input lag compared to normal touchscreen, good thing.
When you touch the screen with the pen, normal touchscreen will be disabled, to re-enable the normal touchscreen you will have to remove the pen AND the hand(s) from the screen, this is indeed correct, good again.
Microsoft Paint doesn’t read pressure levels on my tablet, but Autodesk Sketchbook DO (it’s a simple app from the store, I’ll search for something better now), this means everything is ok for now.
405$ at GearBest for tablet, keyboard, pen and 64GB microSD + 80$ for shipment duty
80$ for KingSpec 256GB M.2 2242 SSD + 30$ of shipment duty
15$ for glass protector
Total of 610$ for now, and everything seems pretty good! Overall I’m very happy for now.
Cons of the tablet:
– small SSD, 64GB is few for Windows, keep in mind another expense for a bigger one
– 16:9 display, somehow ugly form factor for a tablet, 11.6 inch “seems” a lot, but in reality it’s not much bigger compared an 9.8 inch ipad, it’s just wider with larger borders… meh… we can’t have everything…
– Sharp borders + Heavy (930g) , not really practical as most of other tablets
– Wifi somehow slow
– Runs hot when cpu under medim/high use (people says it’s normal for the cpu it has), copper plates mod required
– Battery is mediocre… maybe

Thanks for the report, it will be certainly useful!
I would say that it is normal that not always they can declare a very low price, in my country the inported goods are randomly scanned with x-rays, if they see a tablet, it can’t possibly cost less than 50 bucks (this size even less), so the would estimate a correct prize and appy shipment duty to that.Sellers have to use a lover price, but not very lower… it’s a gamble 😛
@ Hualalai
Thank for the fast reply!
This is a sad information, but good to know it… I’ll wait before buying anything for the second M.2 slot then…
I’ll try to make a fast usb3 stick with the spare 64GB ssd…
For now I’ve mailed teclast asking info about the second slot …. let’s hope…
Thanks again.December 23, 2015 at 7:30 pm #19716Hi again guys!
Received my 256GB KingSpec ssd, resistalling Windows 10 just now.
I need to clarify something…. now that i have a spare 64GB M.2 ssd card… can I still use it in the free slot?
It seems not for me, I can’t see the old card from windows.
Is the second slot usable only for a 4G/LTE or wifi card?? This would be really a surprise…
Anyway, I too want to buy a wifi card to use that second slot, can you guys suggest me a good one?
One working in the second M.2 slot of the X2 Pro… obviously 😛
Attached some photos of the X2 Pro open, behind the tablet there are standard A4 papers (maybe useful if someone want to take measurements before opening it… maybe…)

I received my X2 Pro 2 week after the payment, but still waiting for the pen (almost 4 weeks after payment) because they did a “different spedition”…. (now i have tracking number with DHL, I’ll receive it in few days…)
Assistance is good, I mail with them in my language and the answers are always well written.
I would say….they are good, but slow.
December 17, 2015 at 4:13 pm #18974It’s not expandable, it’s soldered.
Look at the last photo in ren’s comment #18019
(someone correct me if I’m wrong)
December 12, 2015 at 6:33 pm #18307Hi Alex.
I’ve done 2 orders at gearbest:
-a tv box cenovo, 23 november
-X2 pro, keyboard, stylus pen and 64gb microSD, 27 november
I’ve received my X2 pro yestarday with the keyboard, everything seems good. I’ve done backup copy of drivers (with DoubleDrivers) and done a clean installation of W10, then I used drivers from backup (for hardwares that windows can’t install automatically) and all seems ok.
But still no info for pen and microSD, and same for cenovo tv box…
gearbest is replying to my mails, saying my stuff is already shipped and such, but from the tracking number in DHL website I can see they only received “shipment information” but not the goods itself….
so I would say… wait, and “hope”…. maybe they are a bit slower, or not well organized…

December 9, 2015 at 2:53 pm #18029Ty for the reply, Ren.
So the first copper plate (in the 3rd photo) is 0.2 mm, glued with thermo adhesive artctic silver to the external metal case/cover.
Then a total of 1.8mm (0.4*2 + 1) of copper plate located over the cpu. (sized as the first pic)
Then everything in contact with themo-conductive paste…
Correct?
(sorry if I repeat, my english sucks)
Thanks a bunch!
And… what about my other points^ .. ?
December 9, 2015 at 9:56 am #18004Hi everybody!
I’ve ordered a Teclast X2 pro + keyboard + stylus + 64GB microSD C10 samsung for 405$ at gearbest on 27 november.
Still my tracking number in the DHL website says they are not started moving.
1- Is it normal? How much time I should expect for delivery?
2- Then, what is the internal SSD format?
Would you advice to open the tablet, change the memory and do some of the heat paste change done/suggested above?
(I’ve opened a lot of laptop PCs, to change broken parts, clean and replace thermal paste, ecc…I have some experience….. it’s similar with this tablet?)
3- There is actually somewhere an android ROM for this tablet? (To do a proper dual boot and not just virtual.)
4- Is the stylus good? I can’t wait to see it working… there are some detailed videos of the stylus at work?
Thank you guys already for any answer!
