I was worried about mine given that tracking stopped at Chinese customs, GearBest were claiming they hadn’t received it after almost a month so I threatened opening a dispute through PayPal, 12 hours later they ‘received the tablet and will issue a refund in 3-7 days’. So a minor success, it cost me about 20 euros to send it back.

So now I’m stuck, what tablet should I buy if not this one?

Mine is in transit, sent it back to Gearbest for a full refund, it cost £17 so about 25 Euro I guess. Unfortunately it only tracks until it leaves the UK. I haven’t gone through paypal dispute but wish I had.

I have posted mine, cost about 25 euro, possibly not worth it but it’s the principle. Now I’m wondering what to buy instead? A working Hi8 pro is probably a great tablet to own, I just wish I had one!

You gave me hope… but nothing, I’ve sent mine back to Gearbest today. Will probably flag them on PayPal too just to make sure I see some money.

I got mine from gearbest. They are offering a refund if i post back otherwise only 20%… Mine is absolutely dead, doesn’t even charge, unresponsive plugged into the pc

I’m another with a dead Hi8 pro. It worked for about 3 hours out of the box, had some random crashes while trying to go through windows update, managed to restart it a few times but finally it died and wouldn’t turn on. Now the charging light doesn’t even come on. I’ve contacted both GearBest and Chuwi who so far have offered the generic… hold power down for 10 secs. It’s really disappointing as my first experience of Chuwi products.
