Glad you figured it out. I’m having the same issues with the original Chuwi case I received. When folding back (tried folding it two different ways) there still seems to be some interference with the sensor and the screen goes bonkers. Stupid design IMO. I never intended to use the tablet with this case, nor did I want it, but yeah… Aliexpress.
January 27, 2016 at 2:33 pm #23977How is the performance? Too bad touch isn’t working.
January 26, 2016 at 4:13 pm #23868Thanks for the quick response! I guess the touch screen won’t be working in Remix OS though?
January 26, 2016 at 3:56 pm #23865I’m talking about Android-x86 (just Android 5.1.1 basically). Sorry, I’m new to this, I should brobably do some more reading . I just thought that, since you figured this out, it might be possible to create a bootable UEFI Android x-86 image as well. I’ll have to carefully read your tutorial again when I have the time.
January 26, 2016 at 3:34 pm #23858Thanks for the great tutorial! Do you have any idea if it would be possible to create a bootable USB drive with Android x-86? I already tried making one with a UEFI compatible image but all I get after selecting “Android 5.1.1 live” is a black screen (the backlight is working) but nothing else. Any ideas?
January 26, 2016 at 3:32 pm #23857Thanks for the suggestion! I’m definitely getting better results but still not what I’m looking for. I wonder if it would be possible to create a bootable USB drive with a UEFI compatible image of Android x-86.
January 26, 2016 at 9:52 am #23813Hrmmm … oddly, I can’t at present. When I first tested it all was fine – started up OK, install of gApps apks worked, and it imported & installed all my apps and settings from an existing Google tablet profile. Performance seemed very good – smooth and fast with no incompatibilities that I could find, although I didn’t run any actual benchmarks.
I’m on Windows 10 Home 64 -bit and AMI DuOS is running poorly. Any tips?
November 20, 2015 at 9:30 am #16169I dont think that fits. And screen size is not the issue here. The main thing is that docking on hi10 is second generation and has got two little hooks on docking teeth and a release button for – release… As we can see on GeekB overpriced original keyboard: http://www.geekbuying.com/item/Original-CHUWI-Hi10-Removable-Magnetic-Docking-Keyboard-with-Touch-Pannel-for-10–Tablet-PC—Gray-355549.html I dont think that dimensions and displacement of teeth are the same as previous generation of chuwi docking keyboards. but we’ll see.
Btw, the keyboard from GeekBuying, apart from being way overpriced, doesn’t look to me at all like the “official” one from the press release photos. I ordered an Hi10 from Aliexpress on 11.11. The pictures showed the official keyboard dock and I made sure to ask the seller first whether that was the same one included with the tablet. They said yes, but it remains to be seen. I have my doubts.
November 13, 2015 at 11:17 am #15729I’m almost certain it supports WiDi. These are the basic requirements for wireless connectivity as lsited by Intel on their webpage: “Please ensure that you have a laptop/Ultrabook™/2 in 1 PC that is Wi-Fi enabled with an Intel® processor or with an Intel® processor and a Broadcom WiFi 43xx, and have the latest graphics driver and Wi-Fi drivers installed”. I ordered this tablet on 11.11. Hope it gets to me within a month.
