Thanks, and I look forward to your update!  In the meantime, a couple of follow-up question:

    1. Did you get the dual-boot version of hi12, or the original single OS?
    2.  Did you update the bios (to fix wifi, for example?), and if so, what’s your current bios version?
    3.  Did you run ubuntu etc via live usb or did you actually install them on the emmc?  And did you use UEFI boot or legacy boot?
    4.  What kind of battery life did you get in ubuntu?

      THANKS!

According to   http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/linux-on-atom-based-devices/page/10/#post-40557  there is a custom-made distro (xjubuntable) that supports (some?) touchscreen for chuwi hi10.  Have you tried that and see if touchscreen works on the hi12?  What about the stylus — just for notes taking?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I’m new to the linux-on-atom-tablet scene and I have a few newbie questions:

    1) @jesus mentioned touchegg a number of times in connection with his xjbuntab distro.  Does that mean touch screen now work?  And screen rotation? (with @jesus’ buttons etc)

    2)  Do any of the linux-on-atom tablet have working active stylus + palm rejection?  I need this strictly for notes taking (xournal) so pressure sensitivity is a non-issue for me.

    3) The model I’m most interested in is the chuwi hi12, which is supposed to have similar hardware as the hi10 (except for the larger screen).  Does anyone have any experience with linux on the hi12?

    Thanks for your help!
