Obviously, this is still an issue. The above workarounds do not work for me. It would seem that this almost certainly has to be a driver issue, but you cannot fix it if you don’t know what brand sd card reader is built into the tablet. How can I find this information? I thought it was Realtek, but the latest Realtek driver does nothing to resolve this. It’s also blatantly obvious that we will never see a solution from Chuwi. They don’t even respond intelligibly to posts on their site.

If you have Windows 10 on your Chuwi Hi8 and the sd card slot works, please consider posting up your windows build number, your sd card reader information and what if anything you did to get it to work. (Please, not the workaround solution, but a real one.)

I have downloaded the attachments here, and I have tried to get them to install. I still cannot get my wifi to work, and I can’t even get the touchscreen driver to install. Windows tells me they are not for a 32-bit windows version. I am getting so frustrated! Any help would be appreciated.

My whole problem started right after the first startup. Everything was working fine until, dummy me, I tried to do Windows Updates. On reboot, it got stuck at 24% and would not continue, so I had to power cycle. When I did, Windows tried to return to the previous version, over and over again. I downloaded the Chuwi Windows 10 image and restored it, and I’ve not been able to get the drivers installed since.

UPDATE – Please don’t ask how, because I am not sure, but I now have everything working EXCEPT that darn wifi. Tried the drivers shared here, as well as the official ones in the download section, and even a DD download from someone else who says hers works fine. No dice.

This is making me CRAZY! I only slept 3 hrs because I couldn’t quit thinking about this stupid problem.

Well, I do have Windows back. However, battling with the network driver/no wifi and no touchscreen issues now. Once I figure it out, I’ll update this post so that maybe someone else can avoid my frustration.

I -WILL- beat this thing. Never give up NEVER SURRENDER !!

I* must congratulate you, sir. I have been going nuts for 10 hours trying to reinstall Windows 10 on my brand new Chuwi Hi8 after a Windows update went horribly wrong. I could not get the darn thing to see my USB thumb drive. Every article I read insisted the drive be formatted to NTFS. Yours said to format it Fat32. Who knew it could be such a simple little thing as that. Windows is on its way back up now. Thank you!!
