I am still using my Chuwi without any screen protector. I know it is risky but I have a good case and am really careful with it. My Hipen will be here soon. I know some of you are scared to use the Hipen. I am doubtful a plastic tipped pen would ever scratch glass even if it is not gorilla glass. But I may be wrong. Please if anyone out there is not using any protector and uses the Hipen, let me know about scratches. Thanks.

I am so happy with my Chuwi Hi12. It came perfect out of the box.  Built quality was great. And didn’t have to do anything in BIOS. I had problems with touch responsiveness but quickly fixed that by removing the screen protector. It is a little heavy to hold for a extended amount of time. Get a good case or stand. I modified a Galaxy Note Pro case/stand to fit. It really enhanced my tablet experience. If anyone is having problems with HDMI try restarting the tablet and TV. I’ve found any HDMI connection is finicky when it comes to the digital “handshake”. And the screen is truly amazing! You have to see it in person.

Finally got my Hi12 today! But I did notice the screen is not as responsive as everyone’s videos. I messed around with pointer and mouse settings and it seemed to get worse. I think I may have to risk a naked screen. But I do want a stylus as well. It is a shame because I already ordered matte screen protectors. I know fingerprints and glare are gonna bother me outside.

I think you are absolutely right! I would pay a little more for a little more power but I guess that would be another gamble. I am happy to hear Remix is progressing well. I hope we do get full support in our early model Hi12’s. If not, I will definitely get it on my next phone. It does look pretty awesome. Thanks guys, that is exactly what I wanted to hear! For a tablet under $250, I shouldn’t be looking for ice cream on top of my cake.. LOL

Oh, I am not too angry about Remix OS. This is actually the first I have heard of that Android system. I actually like the contrast between Win10/Android 5.1. And Remix OS seems like it is too new to be stable/compatible with apps anyway. To me it just shows Chuwi is trying to be cutting edge. I was more worried about hardware upgrades/fixes. Where did you hear that news about Chuwi? I would like to be more informed.

I know with some older battery technology you need to charge the battery overnight before turning the system on for the first time. Or else it does not calibrate properly and gives a false battery reading for life of product. I don’t know if that might be what is happening. I will charge my tablet overnight before turning it on for the first time. This might not even help if they are testing them in factory, though. I will let you know if this makes a difference. And what do you mean Remix OS? Are they about to change it again? I’m gonna be pissed. (see my earlier post)

I can’t believe I missed that Henry! I wish I would have seen this post first! I bought an expensive case meant for a Surface Pro 3 (ESR). Even though my Chuwi isn’t here yet, I probably need to return the case. I was even willing to cut out the proper holes for connections. A lot of cases for the Galaxy Note Pro do seem like a good fit. And like you said, some are open on the left for connections. I’ll keep you guys posted when I find a good one.. Adjustable veiwing angles are most important to me..
