I had the exact problem on my 1st Tbook 11. No one knew what the problem was nor how to fix it, but a buddy informed me that the OS mus have corrupted.

 

So far the only methods of possibly salvaging it are to  create a bootable flash drive and plug up a usb hub and wired mouse & keyboard and try booting into BIOS mode.

 

I tried with no success. There is another way though. Usually, tablets like these are defaulted to secondary boot through the microSD card slot. I haven’t tried that yet as I haven’t had time, but it certainly wouldn’t hurt to give it a shot.

Ok, After taking it to my technician friend, he says the ROM is probably dead because this thing won’t even post. I am seriously about to pull my hair out because I blew $170 on this thing and it bricked the day after I got it and I’m kicking myself for opening it.

 

I downloaded a recovery image from the downloads section. Any ideas on what I should do next? ANY help is greatly appreciated

My Tbook 11 can’t even boot anymore.

 

But nobody seems to want to help. I just got this tablet a few days ago and it worked initially, but now, no boot, no charging light, no nothing. It DOES still get warm when I plug it in though, so the tablet is getting power.

 

I figure if the admins see my name enough on these pages, they’ll take notice eventually

Anyone out there at all who might know why my Tbook 11 simply will not power on anymore? Even the charging light no longer turns on when plugged in. I really need this tablet for work. Worst-case scenario, I buy another one, but if this is a simple fix, I am open to any suggestions.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, now it won’t power on at all. I plug it in, it gets warm and I hold the power button down for a good 20 seconds, no charging light or anything. I read that it needs to be charger with 5v and specifically 2.5a.

 

Did I just completely waste 160 of my hard-earned dollars, or should I disconnect the battery, let it recycle & try again?
