Went as far as uninstalling the factory driver, installing the driver listed on this forum, and hunting around in the BIOS for the Audio DSP UAA setting (with no success). Equaliser is still not available on my V5 EzBook 3 Pro (calling it a V5 as it’s the batch manufactured after the V4). Not sure why the later versions do not allow equalisation but there it is.

I did notice that the default Microsoft driver will allow “Bass Boost”, but I tried that on a Bluetooth speaker and it does not result in louder amplification.

I recalibrated the screen using the windows 10 wizard a couple of times but it still looked blue. My iPad 2 has a warm screen colour so what I did was google image search “neutral greys” and adjusted the EZbook 3 colours on the “neutral greys” step of the calibration wizard until they approximately matched. Screen now looks warmer white. I think the trick is you have to take off some blue, AND a bit of green as well.

Few people would have iPad 2s kicking around nowdays but you could still find a screen with a colour temperature you like, display a netral greys image and copy that when you run the display wizard.

Update: I just wasn’t pushing the charging pins in with enough force, I see it has kind of a locking mechanism that keeps it secure. All of my charging pins the equivalent the original lock in, so the laptop can now be moved around fine while charging.

So with any cheap universal power supply that puts out at least 2.5A @ 12V you should be right.

Considering that China uses the same plug type as Australia (just upside down) a bit surprising that the US plug is the default type. Maybe they expect more US customers than Chinese.

I have been successfully these (I got a three pack for $20) although one of the packs is quite noisy, and the plugs supplied do not really fit snugly in the charging port. So if you moved around, the electrical connection would likely be lost. Luckily I had some more of the same size floating around from a couple of my Dad’s old universal power supplies (probably made in Australia), these fit more snugly and maintain the connection better. The max output of the Dick Smith universal power supply is only 2.5A (3.0A is what the original power pack outputs) but the EzBook will still charge the battery with less amps.
The cord is short on these, slightly shorter than the cord on original PSU in fact (D’oh!).

So hunt around for a universal power supply with good quiality adapters (if those are even made any more) or a second-hand one, if it can do 2.5A @ 12V you should be okay.
