The Problem with my tablet is, that after booting its only usable for a couple seconds and then it freezes all of a sudden, it’s been doing that for over a week now.. So there is no real option to install drivers anymore. At this point I can probably only install windows to solve that problem.. It’s super weird.

Hey Antony, that would be great if you could create an iso,

does your tablet work like a charm? Because as I said the battery is not detected as well as the camera. Even worse though, is that whenever I shut it down, the screen lights up seconds after the tablet shut down. It’s like its trying to mimic a black screen but when the lights are off you can clearly see its still lit. So everytime I shut it down, when I try to boot it up the next morning, the battery is drained. IF you do have those same problems I might have to bother Chris again, asking him to do an iso of his stock Win 10.

    Thanks,

    Moritz

I’ve been trying to contact gearbest and cube themselves but they haven’t replied to any of my mails.

    Hey guys,

me again.. I googled and googled trying to fix the battery detection but I still couldn’t find a way to have the tablet detect the Battery.. I installed the drivers one by one again, and it finally worked. Battery detection working now.

That being said, I hope one of you guys could provide a working .iso of the tablet.

    Thanks,

    Moritz

Edit: Another question: Do you think it would be possible and practical to put in a working heatsink?

Allright, I’ll look into it, thanks Chris. Have fun in NZ!

I haven’t really had a chance to play around with it a lot because I screwed up on the Windows install, but my first impression was pretty good, especially with that pricetag.

    @antony-white
Well, the way I restored the drivers was I just went to the device manager and updated them one by one (hooked up an USB hub via the OTG and used a USB keyboard because the touchscreen and wifi were not working at that point). But I guess using Double Driver is the better option.

Would be great if you could show a couple pictures of the inside, I’d appreciate that, especially upgrading the battery might be a worthy investment along the line.

    You’re a lifesaver Chris! Thanks a bunch.

However, Windows says there is no battery inserted but other than that it works.

IF, and thats a big if, you find yourself in a Situation where you have absolutely nothing else to do, could I bother you to maybe create an .iso of your Tab?

Just a quick update: I managed to get the Intel and kionix drivers running so wifi, bluetooth and rotation are up and running, however the touchscreen is still not responding, as well as battery detection and camera support.

    @chris
maybe you have an idea where I can get the drivers?

oh and the unknown devices in the device manager are:

    • ISP Camera device
    • PCI-Data and signal something i can’t translate into english on the spot
    • PCI-Ver-/decodingcontroller (?)
    • ACPI\INT3400\2&DABA3FF&0 fixed with cube iwork 8 drivers
    • ACPI\OVTI2680\1
    • ACPI\OVTI2680\2
    • ACPI\INT33D5\3&11583659&0
    • ACPI\MSSL1680\4&34076DDA&0
    • ACPI\808622A8\1
    • ACPI\INT3403\0
    • ACPI\INT3403\4
    • ACPI\INT3406\2&DABA3ff&o

Edit: I used the Iwork 8 drivers (Win 8) from the download section, however, the touchscreen and battery are still not working.. It would really help if someone could copy their drivers because I’m running out of ideas over here 😀

I ordered the Iwork 8 Ultimate tablet from Gearbest and used the standard shipping.

Ordered on November 11th, shipped around 15th, the Tracking number they gave me was in fact the one from the package, however it was not trackable. It got here (Germany) on the 28th, packaged in a thick layer of bubble wrap and a bubble envelope. It came in the original box.

I have to admit I was a bit worried because there are a lot of people complaining about gearbest and it was my first ever China-order, so I was hesitating at first, but the price was too tempting. I would use this shop again.

    Hey guys,

I’ve received my Tablet 2 days ago. The box was opened and there was an account already logged in.  Text was in English, however there were a couple of apps still in chinese and all in all I just wanted to perform a clean install.

Which, looking back, wasn’t one of my best ideas. Now I don’t have any drivers and my Device-Manager is filled with unknown devices. The buttons don’t work, the touchscreen is not responding, Bluetooth and wifi don’t work, accellorometer and even the battery is not detected.

Sooo, long story short: Does anyone have an idea where I can get drivers OR maybe even copy their drivers via double driver or anything like that?

    Cheers
