It was 14.90 GBP, but because I paid with Paypal, I was able to claim that back from them. My shipping label stated laptop, NO  battery value 20USD.  As I said it took approx one month to get it.

Once I got the return authority, and email I sent to them I put Attention Jessie, the person who sent me the authority, in the Subject field, and from then on I put that on every email, so that I had continuity with the same person.

I emailed Geekbuying, telling them that because of Chinese restrictions, there would be no battery in the machine. Didn’t affect the warranty, was never mentioned,  refitted battery when it came back.

Just to let you know, I did get a return order from Geekbuying, one month after I initially made contact. I sent it off, one month later they acknowledged receipt and three weeks later I got my machine back repaired. So roughly four months after my machine went black,  I have it back repaired. I could not ship it back with the battery, Chinese restrictions, and my machine returned without a battery, and set up in Chinese.

Update, finally got my touchscreen in device manager. I went through all the items on device manger which didn’t have a driver and using a usb with the driver you had on your site, updated what I could, and it appered.  I then tried to calibrate it. The calibration tool recognises the screen – N116HSE – but after the first 2 cross hairs, the third refuses to move on. The x hairs being at the extreme of the screen which doesn’t help.

I thought that was that, but I can actually move the screen up an down using the screen, I can make it bigger, but can’t put it back to norm, neither can I use it to double tap an icon to start a program/app.

So partial success, anything further would be greatly appeciated.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Anybody had any luck getting a response from geekbuying after sales support. Have been trying for a week to get my Pro 3 shipped back to their Italian warehouse, where I purchased, but after 6 emails nothing.

Forgive my ignorance, but what components are actually damaged when we get this black screen, no way a techie type could outline a repair?

    Thanks

Had much the same problem today. Went to plug in a dvd drive and the screen went blank. Held the power button down for 15 secs, then hit it again, the blue power button flashed once and that was as far as it went. Mines is only 6 weeks old, and up till now had been working perfectly, although in the last few days there have been some Windows 10 updates????
