This charger won’t charge my teclast (it rates 12v 1.5a) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/AIXXCO-3-USB-Charger-Quick-Charge-3-0-30W-Fast-Mobile-Phone-Charger-Quick-Charge-2/32811415605.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.cpfLrx
Anyone can suggest charger that works from aliexpress? What charges is Chris using? ( in the review he stated that type-c accepts charge here) Thanks
September 15, 2016 at 9:25 pm #49856I confirm. I got my ez book recently and it can power external hdd. It has other annoying problems though.
September 8, 2016 at 10:35 pm #49280I have had the same problem last days, the battery does full charge at 78%. I have followed steps to re-calibrate the battery, the funny thing is that the laptop shutdown after 3 hours after reaching level 0%. Then I started to recharge with the running laptop and it needed 10 hours to full recharge the battery! From 0% to 90% it took about 4 hours and from 90% to 100% it took 6 hours!!! Why this ?
No idea! But I confirm same thing happening to me. 4 hrs to 90%, and forever (if ever) to 100% usually it stops at 98%
Then it discharges to approx 50% then its an instant drop to 4% then normal discharge to 0% and two more hours of online productivity at 0% battery. God, this is frustrating. And windows never gives estimates of how much longer it will last.September 7, 2016 at 2:08 pm #49109My webcam works too, but its hot even when not working and on standby, it drains battery. “On the bright side” is an expression. In this context it means that even though the web cam is hot all the time, the hdds are working properly and this is good ))
September 7, 2016 at 10:43 am #49097Yes, I have disabled the tablet mode, but the chinese stuff is still there and the webcam is still warm all the time. oh… on the bright side external hdds are powerable.
September 7, 2016 at 10:16 am #49093Oddly enough, my unit can power external hdd.
But now I’m lost because I went ahead and made a usb stick with media creation kit from microsoft and installed a clean windows home English.
The system booted, connected to internet, the trackpad worked, but there were still chinese optional features in the system. Not so clean install after all? Everything seems to work, so the drivers must have migrated somehow?
September 6, 2016 at 7:48 pm #49058This even fixed the webcam issue? What about the drivers? Windows finds them itself?
September 5, 2016 at 4:32 pm #48947Cpu usage is normal windows idle 0-2%. When the computer is closed I obviously cant see the cpu usage, but I can confirm that the area around cpu is perfectly cool on standby, while the area behind the webcam is warm to the touch. I also went ahead and disabled the webcam in the device manager but it didnt help.
September 5, 2016 at 3:08 pm #48906This happens with my unit also, no idea how to fix it. The area behind the webcam is hot not only on standby but all the time the computer is on. And it stays that way even with the notebook closed, right until the battery dies.
August 24, 2016 at 8:59 pm #47836I found an other way to fix it temporarily – open the case and disconnect the battery, press / hold the powerbutton und reconnect the battery. after that mine showed 100%, but only for one discharge. Would be nice if that could be fixes somehow, because i can’t really work with the jumper if i don’t know when the battery is going to be dead… I wrote two emails to the chinese Jumper – customer- service, but the didn’t reply so far. Gearbest doesn’t help either, but i recon it would be good if as many of us as possible report the problem to them. The gearbest customer service wrote to me that they stopped selling them till the end of august at the moment because of some problems – they didn’t tell exactly what they mean…. Cheers, tom
oh, man, I just ordered myself this laptop just before they stopped selling them. So I guess I’ll have a faulty unit. I hope this is bios-fixable.
