I tried this on my Acer Spin 1 with a Pentium N5000 and it had no noticeable effect whether I chose 10w, 15w, or unlimited modes. This laptop seems capable of up to about 15w stock in short burst workloads, but that can last as short as 12 seconds before dropping back down to 7w sustained. This laptop rarely hits 70c, and even with tuning it so it doesn’t go over 65c, the burst limit still throttles performance to the same wattage.
