Great post Phillip, this post and the info on here should be enough to help anyone out.

Just so people know I messed up my Windows 10 upgrade and was able to get a fully functioning unit now from these threads! I did a windows 10 reset a few days ago and was able to get running again in no time.

Also, has anyone else had phantom screens presses? Can get annoying sometimes, happens on both Windows and android but not all the time. Don’t know if its pressure on the screen, sensitivity or other. Will keep probing.

I did notice these in windows when charging only and using the touchscreen unplug the charger and the touchscreen was perfect – didn’t see the same thing in Android though? Maybe the windows driver?

Hi Phillip, is there any option available to revert back to windows 8.1 after upgrade to windows 10. Windows 10 consumes more data and continuously use resources in background without permission. It is very irritating and I am very disappointed with windows 10.

Yes, mate. If you have not used diskclean to delete previous version of windows then you can go to the “All settings” then recovery and click revert to previous windows (8.1)

Hi Phillip  and THANKS for your Hard Work to help us!

I Need help from you and the Forums users, (excuse my English) I have 2 tablets Vi10 Pro 64 (I get both at the same time from Gearbest) (I am in Honduras, I speak Spanish, and poor english, sorry)

Vi10PQ64G22150402072  (This one is 100% perfect, I did the update to win10 and update the bios to: G1D_s165_206) and update 1 or 2 drivers, and everything is working Super Good!  no problems here.  Help (1. Question) = this one is working fine, DO YOU RECOMMEND  to update to the bios new bios s165C ? the one you post in your tutorial

Vi10PQ64G22150402353  This one is the one with problems

I want only Windows 10 in this one, I do not need Android and I need the extra space. I can make it work 100% Fine with the old bios the 205 the original, that came with the tablet (the win8.1 bios) I do Install a clean (erase all partitions) Windows 10 Home, and install DOUBLEDRIVER and fix the Touch and Everything is 100% working, but when I update the bios to 206 (with no C)  a lot of driver fail, and I get the new ones for Win10 from the techtablets download, But almost none work.

    2. Question = There is a problem with this bios the 205, because I can work fine with this one, but I am afraid, about the update, There is a problem with the 205 bios, why the update ?

    3. Question = Or can you help me to update the drivers, with the 206 (with no C)

    4. Or How I can make a Clean Win10 install with the new Bios 206 C ? Without instaling windows 8.1 (this is the real one question really)

Thanks in advance for any help

I’m having a problem flashing Android to my Chuwi VI10 PRO 64GB, my Serial: VI10PQ64G22150901*** . I did the following as layed out in the PDF instructions file.
    1) Download the Bios files and flashed the bios to S165C. Turns out I should have checked the Bios first because it was already S165C but it flashed OK and everything worked no problem.

    2) I couldn’t download the Manufacturing Flash Tool from the given link said “file is infected with a virus” so I got it from a different link, installed it and copied over the config file.

    3) Checked the SOC VID and PID wirh device manager. Mine are 8087 and 0A5F

    4) Checked the Android VID and PID wirh device manager. Mine are 8087 and 0A65

    5) Download and extracted the Android image.

    6) Set Andriod to the default boot device.

    7) Started MFT set the VID’s and PID’s and selected the flash image.

So far so good as far I can tell everything up to this point worked as it should with no problems.

    8) With MFT sat waiting ready to flash I booted the tablet into “DNX MODE” and then pluged into my PC.

The tablet sat there saying waiting for command and the MFT sat there saying ready to flash and nothing happened. After a couple of minutes the DXN mode timed out I guess and it started to boot to Android. At the point the MFT started to flash got to 5% saying booting droidboot image and didn’t get and further. After a couple on minutes it timmed out and failed.

I have tried doing things in a different order and get the same result.

    1) Setup MFT, boot to DNX, plug it in.
    2) Setup MFT, plug in tablet, boot to DNX
    3) Boot to DNX, plug it in setup MFT.
    4) Strat MFT, boot to DNX, plug it in, select flash image in MFT.

I can’t think of any other way to do it to try to get it to work. Can anyone see what stupid simply mistake I am making because I am at a loss.

    Thanks.

@Steve the Android VID and PID need to be retrieved from Device manager after it’s in DNX mode. This is stopping you from booting temp into droidboot to start the flash!!

(An incorrect SOC VID & PID would not initiate the start(reboot to droidboot) as it wouldn’t recognise the device.  Then the Android VID & PID relate to once the device has rebooted and an incorrect one leaves you where you are. Check again change and save and retry)

I’m stuck in the same place as Vincent.

After getting the error, I have executed diskpart and retrieved the partitions list. Everything seems to be ok, but if I try to execute the startnet.cmd from E: drive I get the same error once again.

Can you give us a hint, please??

    SORTED OUT.

The first time I put both usb and tried to reinstall windows I had copied the content of USB2 in the root of the usb flash drive, and not inside the “images” folder, and it didn’t find the wim file.. so I figured out it was because of the folder and did it again. This time it found the wim file, but having already done the previous partitioning and assigning process, couldn’t initialize…. SOLUTION: Start once again from scratch, reinstalling android and then windows.

Installing windows right now… and crossing fingers.
