Phillip,
I had a unit with win8.1 delivered.
Upgraded to win10 … resulting in a lot of issues. Some microsoft some chuwi strain setup …
After hours of mucking around I have solved many of issues, without starting again from “fresh” installs” …
2 outstanding matters:
- when I run flash tool it fails looks for a missing .DLL (wdapl1140.dll) any ideas how to satisfy this ?, and,
- when i install insyde and try to switch os it/or something causes win10 into an endless loop of booting, crash, rebooting …
the only way is to force a crash with a reset (which takes about an hour of time …
Any thoughts?
November 3, 2015 at 5:41 am #14811Hello everyone
I’ve updated the bios on my chuwi vi 10, everything is working fine, except the touch, I’ve tried to install the driver but didn’t work. Please help me out
November 3, 2015 at 9:06 am #14819Hey buddy, in answer to the missing .dll I cannot find this .dll on the internet or in the folder that the flash tool runs from. I have searched my PC for it and have don’t have it. So that one is a mystery.
In response to the Windows 10 bootloops when installing the Insyde switcher to stop bootloops do this;
As the tablet is loading Windows 10 hold down the power button to force shut off, do this a couple of times and windows will start the auto-repair mode. Once here navigate to the troubleshoot menu and choose the option that allows you to boot into safe mode. The tablet will restart and present you with several options. Choose safe-mode using the number at the front. (I think its number 4) Once in safe mode open windows explorer and navigate to the C:\Program Files\ and delete the Insyde folder. Now reboot and you will be able to boot fully. You can manually boot to either Android or Windows by holding Vol down and power then releasing power. You will get a windows icon and an Android one. Use volume rocker to select then power button to boot. The one that is flashing is the one that will boot.
Hope this helps
Phil

and copy the icnfirmware.sys to the following folder: C:\Windows\System32\Drivers and give admin rights when asked. Then reboot.
November 3, 2015 at 6:54 pm #14872I did a clean install of windows 10 on my tablet with a USB. The installation was successful. But now I have to install the drivers. If I go to device manager there are 8 unknown devices, 2 generic SDIO devices and a multimediacontroller, but I am not able to install the drivers. Also the Intel Atom Processor I2C Controller has not the correct driver. I have BIOS J1D S165C 206 and I tried to install the correct drivers for that BIOS.
So can anyone help me?
November 3, 2015 at 7:01 pm #14873Phillip,
Thanks friend. Yeah that (hard switch) works fine. So, how do I get the switch to happen via software …. that is what insydeq is supposed to do ?… right …?
November 7, 2015 at 9:23 pm #15213Did you find a solution to this as I’m having the same problem ?
November 8, 2015 at 12:58 am #15250That looks like a software drivers issue to me. Try reinstalling the touch drivers?

Ordered and waiting for my: BMAX S15 & Teclast F6 Plus
Currently testing: LG G8X & Redmi K30November 8, 2015 at 8:45 am #15266My tablet does the same thing in both Windows and Android. As well as the frezing mine will sudenly strat doing lots of phantom touches. Pressing the power to put it to sleep than back on normally fixes it until it happens again. I’m starting to think I have some kind of hardware problem and might have to send it back for replacement.
