I left it fromat for at least 1 hour. The ssd is recognised by the laptop but it does not format!

Do you know what ssds are compatible?

Buying proper SSD fixes the problem

Believe me, I tried a lot of things, but only buying normal SSD works. KingSpec does not work, and I heard Transcend does not work either.

Transcend didn’t work for me either. Also ADATA does not work… will go for Samsung 2280 today

Maybe you were just lucky? I have confirmed just today that Intel SSD 540s 180GB M.2 SSDSCKKW180H6 has issues too. Is it “normal” SSD compared to 545S you bought?
