I just applied this and it has done nothing? It still misses the same characters as before? I have a feeling it’s just a cheap nasty keyboard and no software change will make a difference. Guess my unit is going back to GearBest.
November 4, 2017 at 7:53 am #74378Think I would rather persevere than send back to gearbest, chance u will end up with nothing, just going by what others have posted

The reg-file did not work for me, I applied the changes manually in regedit and that did the trick. Still not loving the keyboard since I can’t type as quick as I’d like and can’t use some shortcuts, but it is better than before.
November 4, 2017 at 1:56 pm #74386Change regedit is works, thanks!
But there are no Page Up, Page Down, Home, End buttons.Any idea for shortcuts to these functions?November 5, 2017 at 12:17 am #74408Has anyone tried a different revision of the bios to see if it fixes the keyboard issue? (although I’m not sure bios upgrade tools are available for this unit?)
November 6, 2017 at 4:02 pm #74474Hi there!
Same thing here, Sandisk drive and shitty keyboard. Mine’s arrived less than a week ago and sadly I realized about this annoying issue only today when I started to work with it seriously. It’s a pitty because the rest works just flawlessly. Thank god I found this post because the first thing I thought was that I was really demanding with the device for its price…
BTW, as mentioned before in this forum, I do really advice the fresh up install from USB instead the built in install. The boot up times decreased more than a half, and furthermore it got activated straight away just connecting to internet… But no keyboard fix 🙁
November 7, 2017 at 2:54 pm #74539In V1 the keyboard was my main issue. Didn’t register light keystrokes, it felt cheap, the keys were wobbling around. Don’t know why all the reviewers say that the keyboard is good or at least okay.
Or is this a new issue? Might be better to get a Chuwi 12.3 or Xiaomi 12.5.

For sure the Xiaomi is a winning bet… But the price gap is the thing. It costs more than two Ezbooks, although I thing it worths it.

November 9, 2017 at 10:13 am #74597Same here, Sandisk EMMC and Keyboard issues. Pretty frustrating, although I think I’ll just get used to it if there’s no fix coming.
November 10, 2017 at 9:01 pm #74663Another one here. Received this week from Gearbest. Ezbook 3 pro with Sandisk eMMC and FAULTY KEYBOARD Typing.
I think it is software related, because it fails only when typing fast. If I type very slow al letters are written.
I tried changing some things in BIOS and nothing worked. I don’t know what else to do. Probably we should try some new drivers and see.
I hope together we could solve this horrible problem.

The issues persist in the BIOS, so it is a hardware or firmware issue. Drivers will not fix it.
November 21, 2017 at 1:43 pm #75161I read about all the keyboard problems, seems the 3S has a different keyboard. I have home, end Piggy up and Piggy down on my arrow keys and reachable via Fn. I can type as fast as these hackers on tv by just typing gibberish and have not seen a lag or delay. The repeat starts after less than half a second and quickly fills a row. My trackpad is now more behaving after some tweaks in the MS mouse driver. There was no extra track pad driver what I have seen. With 10 watt running for hours and a > 500 MB/s 240GB SSD i am quite happy for the 240 Euro price tag. My only gripes is the glare screen and no valid license. But the first will be solved with a matte display foil and the second by pestering Gearbest.

November 30, 2017 at 6:36 pm #75552So I contacted Gearbest support November 1st about the defective keyboard, they told me this:
We need to confirm this issue with our technical team and will get back to you with an update as soon as possible. We will then resolve this issue to your satisfaction.
They didn’t get back to me, so November 14th I contacted support again. They gave me the same copy/pasted reply and, again, I didn’t receive any follow-up. The 28th I asked for an another update, now they give me this gem:
Please restart it to try again.
Thanks for your understanding and assistance.
After insisting it is an actual hardware issue, they have now offered me a ‘partial’ refund of 10 USD (!!). Pathetic.
Have any of you had better luck with Gearbest support regarding this keyboard issue?
December 9, 2017 at 6:03 pm #75748I had terrible keyboard lag on Lenovo Y50. It’s often caused by a Windows / driver issue ie software rather than hardware.
That said, the keyboard on the Jumper is poor – needs a lot of force for keystrokes and not great for touch typing – but that’s not the same as lag.
