Windows task manager can be inaccurate:
I installed Speccy as well, and it gives the same result as CPU-Z: 800 MHz.
mikroLED: Yes, you are correct, I guess it is 1,600 after you take into account that it is dual channel. I hate take screenshots and stuff on tablets, but I will give you the numbers.
Type: DDR3
Size: 4020 MBytes
DRAN Frequency: 799.7 MHz
FSB:DRAM: 1:10
CAS: 8-10-11-23
Command Rate: 1T
Anything not stated is shaded out on CPU-Z. Hope this helps.
July 25, 2016 at 4:31 pm #44433Hi, Hans and Andrew, first thanks for the reply
@hans: Dont use Windows task manager to see the data, use cpu-z or AIDA64(free ver) to see the valid number of ram freq, if it’s DDR, than multiply it by 2= real frequency. It’s a basic knowledge of DRAM overclocking for even DDR1 generation. And for HWinfo64, i dont have experience with that program, i always use cpu-z or AIDA64 because majority users on benchmark/OC forums use that two.
@andrew: ok thanks, that’s enough for the DRAM . Can your gave us more number of crystal disk benchmark(seq 512/4K R-W)?Anyway for read digest of RAM speed:
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/268644-30-ddr3-1600mhz-running-800mhz
http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2335089/ram-frequency-cpuz-ram-800-mhz-1600-mhz.html
But really i dont know whats in the new usb type c variant, so i can’t judge if other unit has the different spec……………..
Can anyone beside Andrew and Hans that has the type c variant post their CPU-Z and crystal diskbenchmark?
July 25, 2016 at 8:24 pm #44449My CrystalMark results are very close to the screenshot posted by Hans for Toshiba.
July 25, 2016 at 8:58 pm #44451July 26, 2016 at 1:25 am #44469Andrew could you please STOP telling nonsense and spreading WRONG INFORMATION!? THANK YOU. All what he said is nonsense and wrong. All what I said is true and correct. And all the other morons falling for him now too. Like I said: CPUZ SHOWS WRONG INFORMATION FOR THIS RAM, BECAUSE IT HAS NO JEDEC READABLE. There is nothing I hate more than people who don’t know what they are talking about spread false information for other people.

And here your shitty WRONG CPUZ information: http://i.imgur.com/kIRfrwu.png
I already said before, that it seems they use not the same hardware building this tablet just what “comes in” or what they can buy cheaper at the moment. And mine and a lot of others seem to have not just cheaper and disgusting slow Toshiba eMMC, but also slow and disgusting RAM which just can handle 1066MHz.
Also the CPU in mine just clocks at a max of 1600MHz turbo boost, not 1833MHz like in his version. Maybe the mainboard cant handle a higher multiplier with ram set at 533MHz… what a scam.
July 26, 2016 at 11:19 am #44520@hans: Wooo, slow down ,cowboy.
Like what i said, i dont know whats in the new usb type c variant, so i can’t judge if other unit has the different spec…………….. so let’s us sit together in this forum and post our result : CPU-Z, AIDA64 and crystal disk benchmark so we can determine is there “something fishy” that CUBE made in this particular tablet.
Firstly i must thank you for your information, so I held to buy this unit to see where it is going in this forum, thanks to you.
In yours AIDA64 screenshot , your data is valid too(533 memory and 1600mhz proc). But…..comparing to @Random screenshot, Do you have any particular setting on bios or windows that have something to do with “power stepping or energy saver” or what it be called in the cube bios or power option in windows set to balanced/power saving???
And May I know When and Where did you buy this tablet, Hans? And maybe serial number (not the type of like i15 TC or what ever, but the serial number behind the product type, i dunno where the Cube tablet serial number at.
July 26, 2016 at 11:51 am #44522mikroLOL, you are mistaken there, the 1.6GHz is the CPU not the RAM. My RAM is 533MHz/1066MHz and when I set it to 800/1600 I instantly get bluescreens both in Android and Windows in standby after 2-10 minutes. The 1.6GHz TurboBoost is mostly normal I guess after I googled about this for the z8300, it just turbo boosts to 1.83GHz very rarely and just on one core.
I bought it here: http://www.gearbest.com/tablet-pcs/pp_362211.html 3 weeks ago, together with a friend of mine, and his unit has the 1066MHz RAM too, but he has a Hynix eMMC (thats where I got the benchmark from) not a Toshiba, he bought it 2 weeks before I did, so 5 weeks ago. They even quoting it has DDR3L there which is also a lie.
“video playing and gaming experience enhanced with DDR3L memory which makes all applications faster.” what a joke. It’s such a joke with the 1066MHz because it’s a huge performance loss, you totally notice instantly just under normal usage, I am not speaking about gaming or anything lol. All work flow like switching windows, opening apps, animations and so on, I tested it and it’s a huge performance boost when I set it to 1600MHz, sadly for my unit it results in 100% certainty in freezes and bluescreens. I also did a 12h memtest86+ test, no errors. It’s just that my RAM isn’t PC1600, it’s mostly just old PC1066 RAM, they bought cheaper.
The tablet has no serial number, it’s a blank #0123456789 S/N in bios.
July 26, 2016 at 1:56 pm #44530Wow, wow…….again, slowdown , Tiger (rawrrrrr).
I said in my post 533 memory and 1600mhz proc -> so i dont mistaken about memory and procesor here, except the 1600 mhz -> i admit I type it wrong, it’s must be 1600 MHz . Oh…and Pardon for my habit use of “proc” word.
Ok…..about your buy, do you and your friend already complain about it to gearbest? What’s their response?
And, anybody whoever have the Usb type c variant except : Hans, Andrew and Random, Can you give us the screenshot/ number of CPU-Z, AIDA64, and crystaldisk benchmark???
July 26, 2016 at 3:09 pm #44543Screenshots later, but in the mean time CPU-Z is telling me..
Memory – DDR, 4020 MBytes, DRAM freq 800 MHz
HWinIFO does indeed give different values..
Memory – 4020 MB, Clock 533.3 MHz
They both agree on the latency, 8-10-11-23
My pattern spotting sense is noting that 1600/2=800, and 1600/3=533.3, and I know nothing about the validity of either programe to say anything about the significance of this coincidence.
edit: and for completeness the serial/model number printed on the reverse of the device is i15TCL64GB16204210396 – this looks suspiciously like a structured product code up until perhaps the last seven digits.
July 26, 2016 at 6:19 pm #44606Hi,
I’m a new customer from Spain who has just recieved a Cube Iwork 10 Type C. I chose the typce c modelo before discovering all the issues about you’re talking in this topic. If I would have known before, I would have gone for the rev.1 version. But anyway, there’s nothing we can do with that except working together to get this tablet to work perfectly.
Until this moment, the only problem I have found with this tablet is that windows doesn’t show any information about the battery, and I cannot access to the energy settings. I think there’s a conflict with the battery drivers and the tablet thinks it’s connected to the ac plug all the time.
If I go to check the adapter propiertes in windows 10, in the battery section I can only find one device called: “Microsoft AC adapter”. Do you also find the same device? Are you able to visualize information from the battery in windows 10?
I would like to contribute to the topic related to this post.
Is there anyway to clarify the hardware that CUBE decided to change in the type C version.? How can we check if the USB C is 3.0? Could we use an OTG cable through the Type C Port and get USB 3.0 speeds? They only include an OTG cable for the micro USB 2.0 port (although it works fine reading a 2.5″ HDD without external power supply) ….And a last question, do we have access to the Cube Iwork 10 Type C drivers?
Thank you in advanced for your collaboration! 🙂

Devices which have a total single core score of around 745 have poor memory scores (like my Chuwi Hibook at 1066mhz single channel), while tablets with a total score of 775-800 have much higher memory points like chuwi hi8 pro.
These Chinese manufacturers really like to cut cost…

July 26, 2016 at 9:30 pm #44629In CPU-Z, my DRAM frequency is 800MHz
In the BIOS, the frequency is set to 1066MHz
July 26, 2016 at 10:10 pm #44634COULD YOU ALL STOP WITH YOUR CPUZ!? It’s always showing 800MHz for this RAM/mainboard regardless what’s it clocked at. It’s a bug. PLEASE STOP :O “Memory – DDR, 4020 MBytes, DRAM freq 800 MHz HWinIFO does indeed give different values..” you are shitting me, right? “In CPU-Z, my DRAM frequency is 800MHz n the BIOS, the frequency is set to 1066MHz”. Unbelievable… IT IS 533MHz/1066MHz when it’s set in bios… dammit. Just do a damn read/write benchmark and you will get the results responding to a 1066MHz RAM instead of 1600MHz.
“BTW lot of z8300 devices are shipped with 1066mhz RAM” o_0, it’s not “a lot” it’s “a few”, and I already quoted above that it was noticed already on a reviews/test blog of a Teclast tablet a few weeks ago. Using 1066MHz ram seems to be the “new trick” of the Chinese right now to get some extra $$$ out of every sold unit for them, which is disgusting, because I would had paid the 5-10$ more to get a fast tablet instead of a slow brick.
The same goes for the Toshiba eMMC. It is so unbelievable bad, if I copy lots of small files like extracting a zip file which contains lots of small files, the write speed gets down to unbelievable 40kb/s!! 40kb/s!!!!! And even gets stuck for a few seconds. That’s also the reason btw, because some people think their unit freezes or will freeze while resetting Windows.

Hans, did u contact gearbest.com with the complaints regarding the tablet and their false advertisement regarding the hardware this tablet contains?
July 26, 2016 at 10:53 pm #44639Just do a damn read/write benchmark and you will get the results responding to a 1066MHz RAM instead of 1600MHz.
I gave the results for both apps because I honestly don’t care about the finer details – you wanted one, the other guy preferred the other. I can’t see myself worrying all that much over the benchmark score for a Chinese tablet.
Does the Type-C run the software I want it to run? – Yes (Lightroom CC, Sigma PhotoPro 6).
Am I happy with it so far? – Yes, and if in a couple of months I’m still happy or if I’ve changed my mind I’ll come back and say.
To be honest, the one thing that made me choose the iWork10 probably doesn’t even rate in your evaluation – it’s one if very, very few models that runs a 64-bit OS out-of-the-box. Real world usage, not some hypothetical benchmark.
And FFS chill.
