The Bluetooth driver is this one: https://github.com/lwfinger/rtl8723bs_bt use the instructions in the readme file.
The sound card is a external usb sound card which is plug and play in Linux 🙂
This one: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Hot-sale-white-USB-2-0-Virtual-7-1-Channel-Audio-Sound-Card-Adapter-sound-cards/32351638008.htmlThe system is detecting only the temperature sensors, see below.
P.S. I have updated the first post also with this information.
P.S.2 Good news about your Initiative about Chuwi and GPL Linux drivers kernel code …. but I seriously doubt that they will do something about it. I think that they will do anything possible NOT to share the source, and you will never receive a answer. 🙁

About the source code of Android x86 build by intel, and kernel&drivers intel modded by chuwi but originally open-source by intel, that seem’s in the good way !
I have contacted Intel (France) for explain the situation, they gonna help us and asking me fews details about Chuwi, more news soons, they don’t like it too ! 😉June 14, 2016 at 4:57 pm #40962Thanks for your share !

June 14, 2016 at 8:24 pm #40996Hi, i have some news about Linux, after many try, and multiples bios test settings, i’ve found few problem could be resolveed.
I was trying to install Ubuntu on internal memory, and don’t understand why i’ve got a kernel error about access on internal memory.
And after install on external hard drive, i was getting the same GDM error than your, freezing.
Settings to change about internal memory access on Linux OS :
Chipset => South Bridge => LPSS & SCC Configuration => and configure “SCC eMM Support” on “PCI”, after that, configure “eMMC Write Protect” to “Disabled”
For video GDM problem (freeze & maybe kernel panic) :
Advanced => Thermal => Thermal configuration => Configure the “Intel DPTF Processor Participant” to “Disabled” and enable manual security thermal inside Advanced => Thermal => Thermal failsafe settings => and on “Thermal Throttling Mechanism” and choose “TM2 Adaptative Throttling”
For security reason :
(About FW corrupted by Windows Update) i’ve disabled the Read/Write Bios in => Chipset => South Bridge => “Bios Read/Write Protection” and choosed “Enabled”, and Advanced => Security configuration v “TXE Firmware Update” i’ve choosed “Disabled”.
Now, Linux boot well, but i’ve not sound (include PCI mode in settings, no drivers…) and config backlight don’t work, in despite “acpi_backlight=intel” in kernel boot options.
June 14, 2016 at 8:32 pm #40997(About Audio, if i choose PCI mode, i’ve obtain with LSPCI => “00:15.0 Multimedia audio controller : Intel corporation device 22B8 (rev 22)”)

<p>Not to complicate your process/work on getting Mint too work. I’m a big fan, but I have been testing out (on my Lenovo notebook) the recent “Linux Lite 3.0” which uses the 4.4 kernel and XFCE 4 desktop. I find it runs noticeably faster than Mint 17.2 Cinnamon.. Since it’s based on Ubuntu I’m sure it has all the same problems and workarounds as you guys have been dealing with. You might like how this distro is configured though. I like it a lot – very Windows old style. Easy to use. It does not support UEFI, so keep that in mind if you try to boot it from a USB drive – you have to boot legacy mode.</p><p>I know there are TONS of linux distro’s out there. But this is one of the “lighter” ones, like Lubuntu and Xubuntu, and Mint Mate or Xfce, uses less memory and CPU power and seems to be nicely put together. Good for people new to Linux I think.</p><p>Attached screen-cap running the Cairo-dock on bottom of screen, which I also just discovered and like a lot.<br>PS. The Vivaldi browser also works very well. My new favorite.</p>
June 15, 2016 at 7:44 pm #41122Hi Tikilou, I tried everything you suggested, and I still can’t boot using the i915 drivers. I couldn’t enable this one because it’s not available with my BIOS version (Microcode Patch 35e):
enable manual security thermal inside Advanced => Thermal => Thermal failsafe settings => and on “Thermal Throttling Mechanism” and choose “TM2 Adaptative Throttling”
I hope Chuwi will release an update…
June 19, 2016 at 10:31 pm #41496There is something i don’t understand…
If i boot linux normally, i have the same issue of your.
Normal boot with grub-efi bypass (replace and rename EFI file for booting android) =dual boot screen by chuwi = grub start with 1920×1200 resolution = first lines of linux boot and blackscreen = usb key led is active so it load the environnment linux, but blackscreen.
Boot directly inside the bios = grub with strange resolution like the bios screen settings = fews lines of linux boot = all lines of boot with good resolution (1920×1200) = X and GDM start without problem.
There is definitly a problem with this UEFI, but i don’t know wath is it !
Loader of manjarolinux have somes problems too, he freeze after two seconds, so i have to start efi shell, run manualy fs3: => loader.efi and it run.
Anyway i understand something now, linux kernel 4.4 can’t write on internal memory, the only solution is to install linux distro on usb key, update to 4.6 or 4.7 kernel, resize windows partition, make an ext4 partition, copying the system m, and modify /etc/fstab for the new uuid of this partition, update-grub, modify grub.cfg of /efi partition, boot directly with the bios settings.
I’m tired to restore everytime android/windows for my test, i’m waiting a usb stick 128Gb Lexar usb 3.0, wan’t to test if it’s possible to boot every systems on it. I know low cost internal memory don’t like to be writed everytime… And when the chip is dead, uefi won’t boot normally… That a typical problem on computers with soldered SSD on the mainboard…
June 25, 2016 at 8:42 am #41941Hi, somes news, i’m on Manjaro Linux on a 128Gb usb stick (Lexar), the video problem is solved only if i disable the Quiet mode on the BIOS, and if i boot directly the EFI file grub on the BIOS. It’s not possible to save a personalisable boot order, unfortunatly, i’ve tester EasyUEFI on Windows for personalise it, same problem, i can add entries, but Windows boot manager, and the screen selection ANdroid/Windows have everything the priority, and we can’t load Linux after grub if we use this loader, video problem with blackscreen after initramfs characters.
So, the bad news is the Wifi driver (GIT) don’t work on Linux 4.7 RC3, i have a exec format error when i’m trying to modprobe the module, but it’s working well on 4.6.x. With this driver, we can write on internal memory, Linux 4.4 can’t.
But the problem is with Android, if we set the Wifi SDIO ACPI to PCI for using it on Linux, Android boot, but infortunatly, when we connect the tablet to any wifi AP, the system crash and reboot, so we need an ACPI driver :Logcat :

I’ve not tested bluetooth.June 25, 2016 at 4:13 pm #41961It’s me, again ! ^_^
I have good news, internal soundchip on linux is on the way ! I’ve dumped ACPI table (you can download it here => http://vavar60.online.fr/share/tablet/chuwi_hi10/ACPI_Table_Dump_Chuwi-Hi10-DualOS.7z ), it is the same chip than the Surface 3 by Microsoft with same ID => ALC5642 – 10EC564 – CID 10EC5640
You can read and try to apply theses patch for using internal soundchip with pulseaudio => https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98001

June 26, 2016 at 3:29 pm #42018work with the latest intel driver update(
… which update?
June 26, 2016 at 8:01 pm #42034I have “xf86-video-intel 1:2.99.917+670+gcac7c8d-1” installed on manjaro Linux with unstable repository, updated today.
If you want to run Linux without nomodeset option, don’t forget to change settings on bios : Advanced => Thermal => Thermal configuration => Configure the “Intel DPTF Processor Participant” to “Disabled”
And boot Grub EFI directly on bios screen settings (Last section, under Save&Exit and other options).
If you don’t, you gonna have a blackscreen without “nomodeset”
This is the only way for me to get full support of GPU with good screen resolution, rotate, OpenGL support.
June 26, 2016 at 9:03 pm #42038I have uploaded a video with my step by step for booting linux without video problem : http://vavar60.online.fr/share/tablet/chuwi_hi10/boot-linux-bios-settings-video-intel-modeset.mp4
Here, a screenshot of Manjaro Linux (with somes dmesg errors) :
June 27, 2016 at 2:12 am #42052I’ve finally decompiled the DSDT ACPI table, it’s crucial for drivers support development : http://vavar60.online.fr/share/tablet/chuwi_hi10/Chuwi_hi10-DualOS-dsdt.dsl.txt
