I’m trying it now, but I don’t hold any real hope of success. I’ve uninstalled my SSD and gone back to the slow eMMC drive just rule that out too.
December 10, 2018 at 5:24 am #148951Grr… Followed all our Gearbest’s steps and now I have Windows in Chinese. Hopeless.

December 12, 2018 at 7:34 am #149021I guess this is the price of buying a cheap Chinese brand. Support is non-existent.
December 12, 2018 at 8:31 am #149022So the freezes didn’t stop with the above procedure? (the one that get you windows in chinese=
December 17, 2018 at 12:39 am #149187Sorry the late reply. No nothing has worked. At the moment I’ve gone back to the eMMC drive, reinstalled fresh windows and still getting Freezes (critical error 41 in event viewer). That’s it… it’s hardware, there is no fix according to Gearbest. It’s toast. It works most of the time (I’m typing on in now) but it will crash a few times a day so it’s completely unpredictable and unreliable. Shame I really liked this computer. It has a great keyboard. Going back to my other computer (Macbook) which has zero travel on the keyboard I’m missing the Teclast.
If anyone has any other suggestions, I’m willing to try anything.
December 17, 2018 at 6:04 am #149194I should also add the F7 is working on battery. So my workaround is to charge the laptop up at night then use for as long as possible on battery then recharge when I’m not using it.
Could this be a faulty charger?
December 18, 2018 at 4:02 am #149206Also suffering from this problem 🙁
December 19, 2018 at 12:39 am #149246Also suffering from this problem
Have you tried using a different charger? I’m beginning to think this must be a known fault. From discussions I’ve had with other more tech-minded friends they have suggested a faulty capacitor on the motherboard could be the issue. Surely we should be offered a repair/replacement?
December 19, 2018 at 1:00 am #149247Yeah ive just today bought a new cheap 12V 2A ac charger … still no good. Tempted to get a 3A charger might get more luck with that. Ive been speaking to my supplier hopefully I can get a return/refund sorted.

At least that saves me from trying a new charger… Did you purchase through Gearbest?
