sable auto update of the app from the play store settings was the first thing I did. Nothing changed for me…

I have the same issue after sleep mode until I change  “Settings-Screen-Suspend”  to “Never”. Try this

Thanks for the suggest, so I set it to “never” and I manually power off the screen every time, isn’t it?

    Yes, it is.

But one question about this. Can tell me someone if the button to turn off the screen does the same thing than suspend mode? battery consumption will be the same?

    I just bought a Teclast X98 Plus 3G.

Please, could you put here a simple tutorial on how to change serial android for android Mirek? I have already downloaded the necessary files from the downloads section.

    Thank you very much

    Hi Pedro,

    I have a new Teclast X98 Plus 3G also.

Follow the instructions on page 3 by Richard Steel.
These worked perfect for me and I have never done anything like this before.

Only thing to note: In order to get DNX mode on mine (A6C9), I had to press and hold Vol+ and Power buttons to enter BIOS, then set DNX to ON in BIOS, Save and reboot.  When logo is shown with yellow text indicating DNX mode, connect to computer and run batch file on computer.

I think I have solved the screen on problem for me:

I have deactivated the clock app, because it runs in background when tablet is in sleep mode. After I have done this the screen goes intantly on if I press the power button.

Thanks for sharing. I will try this also. This problem of waking up the device is becoming more and more annoying

I am currently running this ROM but want to try the new official Android release from Teclast (http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/news-android-files-v1-07-for-a5c8/)

Could I use this file and swap the system.img inside the compressed files to install the update easier by using his tool?

    @Mirek, @Brain

Thank you Brian for your additional note. (a big thank to Mirek naturally for all the hard work in coming up with the ROM).

You are a brave soul for doing the “flash”. I have not dare to even start. Just curious if you were able to keep the dual OS boot function. The whole reason I bought the dual boot is I want to be able to have the best of two world: Android for entertainment and windows for work.

I am so disappointed and so frustrated that when my unit came, I found out that Android 5.1 no longer have direct access to the SD card (compare with 5.0). I am not sure if this is Google’s fault: trying to force users to use Google cloud services and thereby cut off the ability to have expandable external memory via the using of SD cards.

Let me explain. I have over 300 hours of professional quality lectures and training materials from the Great Courses (total close to 85 GB) that I stored up in my 128GB ext SD in my Samsung note 3 (with android 5.0) for studying and review when I commute. The screen of Note 3 is just so small. So I decided to invest in the X98 plus with a much bigger screen. Now with Android 5.1, the Android App from Great Courses no longer work because no matter how I tried the same app  in X98does not recognize the SD at all. In fact it does not even see it being there. File explorer/manager in Windows 10 and Android  has no problem seeing the SD but both with very limited read and write privileges.  Any idea what is the problem?

Hi everyone! So I recently did a clean install of Mirek’s latest rom, it worked beautifully! However, the location function is not working anymore, none of the apps are able to pinpoint my location. It spins continuously. It used to work on Teclast’s stock rom. I double checked on the Windows side and the location function works.
The location master control is on, all apps are allowed to use my location. I even did a hard reset after everything I tried failed and it still doesn’t work 🙁
    Help please!
