I made test another build of the rom yesterday with lag wakeup fix ( it was the same on x98pro ) and now looks is fine – no lag at all.

Someone was asking about uc browser and youku. – on v2  works fine ( in not released yet – testing and improving )

Turns out my issue was with using Alzip to unpack the files, it couldn’t extract everything, who knew? Anyway, 7zip did the job just fine and it flashed as expected from there.

Hello, I’m a X98 plus owner with little knowledge about mods in tablets. Can anyone make a better explanation of how to install the mirek rom? Not sure with the first post explanation. Thank you!!

I’ll give a basic guide a shot:

You will need: X98 plus dualboot tablet, micro usb to usb cable (the one that comes with the tablet), a windows pc with a usb port

Make sure your tablet is fully charged before starting

download Mirek’s zip file on your windows pc and extract to the C: folder (use 7zip, as you can see above not all extraction programs are equal)

install the two application files (FIRST_INSTALL_IT and SECOND_INSTALL_IT) by double clicking on them and following the instructions

with the tablet fully powered off hold down the power button and both volume up and volume down to boot into DnX mode

the screen should turn on and display the Teclast logo with DnX fastboot above in yellow

plug the tablet into your pc using the usb cable

on your pc in the extracted folder double click on the FLASHER_v1.0 batch file and follow the instructions (press 1 to keep android apps and data, 2 for clean install, e to exit)

when it finishes unplug and reboot your tablet, the first boot will take some time sitting at a screen saying android

i have rooted my X98 Plus A5C8 with mirek rom. After that, i reseted android. Now when android starts, it prompts entering the last used google account. But i have no idea, what my acount is. I only activated a google account for testing a week before.

I have done some factory resets but after starting andorid, it promts the same message (google account verification).

What can i do? Please Help.

Hi mirek, I flashed the stock Android 5.1 rom from the X98 Plus 3G (A6C7) and i feel it more smooth than A5C8 stock. Csn you use it as base of your rom?

Your tablet is only Windows. You must hack it to be able to put Android on it.

There is an specific the thread for it, and I guess this will break the camera… Have a look to this thread (make the A6C7 dual system)
